Worst case is he stays and we can use him for a year. It's not like we were planning to sell him anyways.

As for PSG, aren't they demanding top dollar or nothing for 1 year contract Mbappe. Would be a bit rich of them to want 230m, no less for Mbappe, but refused to pay 100m BO for Dembele.

Let us assume that the release clause is triggered today. 25m goes to Dembele. He pays 50 % in taxes. That leaves Dembele with around 12.5 after tax.

How would it benefit Dembele if PSG paid more money for him? With the deal above, he’s at least guaranteed 12.5m from Barcelona plus whatever PSG gives him.

Then the question becomes… how would it benefit PSG to pay more money for Dembele tomorrow?
