Penal Madrid

How come Real does so much better than us financially? Eventhough they have unlimited funding for transfers every year and win nothing?
They're not doing that much better, only 20M extra or so. I don't have the numbers here, but I think their ticketing revenue + broadcasting revenue is similar to ours, I guess their marketing revenue is slightly better though.

Why is their marketing revenue better than ours? Probably because they were successful at the right time (around 2000), when football became more and more international. Thx to the internet (that allowed to watch games cheap + visit websites of clubs in different languages etc.), Lots of people in South-America / India / China etc. who became a Real supporter back then, of course coupled with the fact that they had a lot of galacticos (people in China etc looove Galacticos like Beckham and Kaka etc.). I expect that our commercial revenue will still increase (a lot) too in coming years, regardless of how many trophies we win.

It's not just a matter of what their + and - is at the end of the transfer window, it's also about what kind of transfers they made... Compare the money we get for Villa and they get for Callejon, for example.

Bale will surely have an easier time than he did at Spurs for scoring, Real Madrid basically camp out on the opponents penalty area the whole game where as Spurs were a much weaker team and he'd have had to defend a lot more.

First of all, he's missed the first 3 league games. Secondly, he has to adjust to a different footballing culture. Thirdly he has to face parked buses. Fourthly he has more competition for his place with Di Maria so will likely play less minutes than he did at Spurs. Fifthly he has to find a way to maintain his goalscoring record while being Cristiano Ronaldos bitch.

Exactly. I say he'll struggle for a couple of months, it's quite normal. I wouldn't expect too much. He's a good player but changing a team is never easy, let alone if you consider all the reasons you pointed out.

He has an ego now though and I think he can play off the adrenaline first few months while settling in the with language and culture.

Dude, no. He'll be Ronaldo's personal maid
Plus if he has an ego, it's very well hidden.
Neymar has probably loads of adrenaline and you see him struggle a bit here and there. Which is all normal imo. They'll catch up, I'm sure they will, but in no way will Bale be a hit in the first month or so. There's bound to be a problem or two...
I hope Carlo does what Martino did with Neymar - slowly ease him into the team, play him as a sub, in short - not put so much pressure on him.

Either way, Ronaldo and Bale on the wings is a nightmare for any opposing team. The firepower is unbearable.

Them against Alves and Alba. Oops it would'nt even come to that as they will probably be still in Madrid's half when Ronaldo and Bale reach our goal
