I would normally say he is finished after seeing such a performance

But his squad is levels below average for this level and he is not exactly known for making the best out of terrible teams, rather making wonders with those who know how to play football

So maybe we shouldn't have expected more after Rodri injury either way
Why are they a terrible team?

Didn’t Txiki spend millions this winter market alone, more than we have spent in 3 transfer markets?

“I'm not frustrated. You would be if you deserved to win. That's not the case. They were better, quite simply. If you finish the preliminary round in 22nd place, it's because you weren't good. We don't have the rhythm of Madrid at the moment. We wanted a lot of possession and we concede the first goal early on, then the second... If you play the first leg and the second leg against them, they're very good. I've seen the best Madrid in recent years: They are capable of long periods of possession, they can defend, run, press high, stand deep... You can only congratulate them.''

About Erling: “He was injured. Or do you think he wouldn't have played if he was fit?”

Won't surprise me if they go on a machine like run in PL now that CL focus is gone. With a bit of luck (Arsenal fighting on 2 fronts) they might even finish second. But third is most likely.

Think he has earned a transition season. In a way, good way to show the board that they need to make wholesale changes.

With the money behind them, the re-build will be nothing like ours and they are probably back competing for everything next season.

Take the Madrid game yesterday, Khusunov out of position showed very good attributes. Can see why they got him early. And even if he flops, it doesn't even matter.

i think they are too tired, Pep and the players just want the end of the season to recover for next season...

1 year break is a good idea

But where will he go? Maybe time for a nt?
