Won't surprise me if they go on a machine like run in PL now that CL focus is gone. With a bit of luck (Arsenal fighting on 2 fronts) they might even finish second. But third is most likely.

It would be hilarious if Liverpool implodes and City wins the Prem again. It's not impossible, Liverpool is not in the best form, a couple of injuries and we're there...

Think he has earned a transition season. In a way, good way to show the board that they need to make wholesale changes.

With the money behind them, the re-build will be nothing like ours and they are probably back competing for everything next season.

Take the Madrid game yesterday, Khusunov out of position showed very good attributes. Can see why they got him early. And even if he flops, it doesn't even matter.

He surely earned a transition year, probably even a chance of a long rebuild period too that could last few years.

But I am not sure about the approach tbh. Khus, Reis and Bah are 3 major signings that plays CB, a clear indication that Pep is doubling down on defensive fullbacks, essentially using 4 CB in defense.

This has worked in his treble season, but with a great midfield that he doesn't have under his disposal and unlikely to repeat.

Marmoush and Nico are decent signings, but niether are game changers on their own. They will need at least 3 or 4 World Class players in midfield and attack, to even give their previous approach a chance to work. I feel like change of ideas is really needed, and Pep is showing a bit of stubbornness there.

He will regret for the rest of his life that he didn't take the Barca job at the start of the season.

Perfect scenarios for him to mould all these great youngsters in to his unique style.

The praise he would be getting if he had this team playing the way Flick does.

Instead he is getting humiliated every other week and with no end in sight. They will do well to get Top4 at this rate.

It would have been a golden opportunity for him to return.

Klopp also only 1 UCL in his entirely career. Only Zidane (fraud coach) and Ancelotti manage to win more than 1 in last 13 years. And neither is remembered for their way of play (haram ball btw).

Certain that both Pep and Klopp are superior coaches to Ancelotti.

That's why I said pep played dominating brand of football throughout and well done to him for that.

1 Champions league in 13 years is low. He did maintain the dominating brand of football for most part of those years.

Yeah his cl success is weak for a coach of his level, was also often unlucky but with Bayern and City he should have won at least 2-3 cls

His Barca career + Pl domination have been insane though, probably greatest league coach ever
