Philippe Coutinho

Best midfielder around
Sounds eerily similar to the James deal. We will probably end up as the big losers just like RM did. Don’t like dealing with those greedy and cynical Germans.

why will you loan a 130million player? Bayern is not gonna buy him. They are freaking greedy and we are gonna loser a hell alot of money on him if we do this. Rather have him in barca and try him in the midfield.

Loaning him to Bayern would be an AWFUL deal! They won't buy him in a million years and his value would drop further! FFS don't do that!!! Either sell him to PSG or keep him and play him as AM.

Basically James 2.0, as other posters have already said. Coutinho would have to play out of his mind for Bayern to utilize the buy option.

There is no way Bayern would use a buy option next summer. They are about to panic loan Perisic and maybe Coutinho because they want to save their money for next summer after failing the Sané transfer this year.

I personally think the Bayern rumors are just being used as leverage in the negotiations with PSG who's top sources have confirmed that PSG is interested in Coutinho.

Yep. They'll just sign Sane when he's back from his ACL injury.

But this is what happens when we have an incompetent board and a beyond bloated squad. We need to get rid and we're inescapably out of options this late in the window.

The only thing that could play in our favour is the fact Coutinho excelled in the Premier League for 5 years - and the Bundesliga has tremendously declined in the same time frame.

I'm thinking there's a chance he finds that league a piece of piss since the football there is similar to England but much easier, slower and there's plenty more space.

We might find him a buyer then.

True. Good point.

I'd be excited about having him at Bayern, especially if the rumoured conditions are true. Truth is many of Barca or Madrids excess players can not only cut it here in Germany, but also revitalize their careers.
But seems surreal, plus this guy has been linked to anyone and it didn't happen in the end. I'll believe it when it's announced.

Spot on , nobody will go near the guy and its a sad state of affairs that , if true , we are looking to load out a £130m player to anybody.
Heads should have rolled , buying this guy at that price hes not worth a third of that.
