Apply the Arteta argument to every coach then...

Why sack Setien? Look what Arteta did when given time.

Why sack Koeman? Look what Arteta did when given time.

Way sack EV? Look at Alex Fergsuon who took 6 seasons to win first title.

Shite point Serghie that directly goes against your previous arguments when didnt rate the coach.

Try again and do better.

Koeman was sacked because he was 9th in the league table which was a terrible result that could have led to us missing top 4. That is clear for pretty much anyone. If he didn't sink so much in the table... he would have stayed most likely since the club would have preferred to save the money paid as compensation for his sacking.

Koemam was sacked for loser mentality. He gave up.

That too. He didn't look like he was ready to fight back, and was moaning non stop. Guy signed for a Barca with Messi and many top players, and when the crisis hit he had to play with Demir, Luuk, and Abde. He took it badly and that was it.

Haha you literally just said Arteta was 8th in first season...... give him time not an argument anymore?

Regardless you wanted Koeman gone in summer and the club had made his positon redundant when undermined him further by taking away best player and man team built for in Messi.

Barca would never have missed top 4 but they should have sacked him in summer.

Agree to a point.

He was done after board made it clear they didnt want him.

He was waiting for pay off by then and knew he was a lame duck.

The point of giving him more time to match Arteta would be to back him in summer and be honest with him on Messi etc. Not after that when time was done.

That's true. Arteta got a lot of time. At Barcelona he would've been sacked by now for sure.

Would've, could've, the club decided they didn't want to take that risk with a manager that imploded such as Koeman, and everyone should respect that. Even if they don't agree witht he decision, it was taken based on results.

He knew the situation signing in though, but yeah board acted like ***** towards him. Probably why he didn't want to fight for them.

Yes Arsenal got it right as they saw progression.

It doesnt just happen by chance they give coaches more time.

Barca shows progression too this season compared to last one. All you have to do is look at the position on the table. From fighting for top 4 to fighting for the title and leading the table.

If anything, Barca is progressing faster with Xavi than Arsenal under Arteta.

The difference is Barca and its fanbase are delusional and expect far too much far too early with not much to show for. They should both ditch the unwarranted arrogance, and get back to working hard to get things done.

Nobody is scared of Barca anymore because Barca is nothing like their previous teams that made opponents shit-scared of playing them.

No idea what that means.

He didnt become coach under that board.

I meant he came in a time that the team was in total turmoil and we needed to throw away players. He knew he was there just to right the boat a bit.. He had the ungrateful job of correcting the boat.

Or at least he should have known. Basically he should have known this would never be very successful period of his coaching career.

If they get knocked out of CL and EL early two seasons in a row and finish second that is not the progression they should be looking for.

Barca at start of last season had just lost Messi, undermined coach, had likes of Pedri/Araujo out injured. The fact they started poorly doesnt reflect where club was at that time in terms of playong squad and to add 220m to that and where should be now.

Xavi doesnt get to benefit from that shitshow at start of last season to make out 2nd and embarrased in Europe is good enough because of the messi in at that time.. and even then were barely off top four.

Doesnt work like that.
