On titles. Barca = Spanish Champions.

Yes indeed... you wete told barca were better than United and could win league.

You claimed otherwise.

Heres a wee clue though... United cant win Spanish league and Barca cant win EPL.

You are the one that has claimed United better... some of us told you you were deluded.

Now you act arrogantly that Barca win league and United didnt.

Textbook Serghie mental gymnastics.

Xavi has spent a lot of money and been given freedom to do it and on a base of very good young players.
So so. We signed quite a bit under Xavi, but our net spend is still virtually ~0. Koeman had the worst conditions, but it's not like we compare to his era but top clubs like United, City, even Real (who were very resourceful recently).

Net spend is not zero and Barca selling likes of Coutinho and Griezmann is not really all that relevant to who Xavi brought in and money he had to do it.

It is same argument used for Pep at City and net spend when they sell youngsters or players signed before him that never were really relevant to his squad.

If Xavi has worked with a player to improve their value or signed them and sold on fair enough take it into consideration then.

But other than that it is not all that relevant to what he could do with the squad.

Utd currently have their 3rd/4th choice centre back who is right-footed playing at left back. Just look at city today. 4 defenders all €50m+, not injured and all quality players picked by people who know what they need. Don't even get me started on the cb pairing

City this season and last are the most 'mechanical' sides Pep has ever had.

He went from full on philsophy of how to play game with ball above all else to after too many familiar CL style defeats.

Defend in a simple 442..
Fullback are 1v1 defenders that stay back as caught on break too often previously.
Defenders have height as losing goals to too many set pieces etc.

They are very dependent on Rodri, Haaland and KDB injuries though for this to work.

Oddly enough, if Barca have a full 11 available (which we almost never do it seems), we are one of the few that can pull off a surprise.

And Madrid can also do it in CL. As they already did 2 years ago.

At home though, in CL, if City are on, it's hard not to escape with a bad defeat. Like Pep Barca, City are much more lethal at home.
