Raphael Varane

So Mourinho and Raphael himself have confirmed he was coming to Manchester United until we signed phil jones and made him doubt his playing time. Absolutely Ridiculous. Jones or Varane? Our transfer strategy has been a farce these last couple of years.

No suprise, Ferguson was briliant, but something that ai never understood was his love for expensive mediocre british players. Heck, the last 5 years or so, he didnt even attempt to buy a decent cm. He made the most out of what he had, but he didnt really seem to like foreign players to much, or players with to much talent either.

thats what great managers do, build a team, and buy individuals who fit the overall plan and team balance. Unlike what most of the world do, buy expensive stars and then try to adjusts the team strategy according to them.

SAF was no doubt the most influential manager. And pretty effective one. his importance became more visible after his retirement.

Absolute monster, at club level at least. Makes a mockery of only being 21 and being so composed and able to read a game. Physically, he's unreal for a CB in terms of pace, jumping ability and strength coupled with his height.

Losing to Barca was nothing he could do to change. But the last 2-3 years i would say he had to pay in Europe for his reluctance to buy quality players in midfield.

thats a foul. hummel used his hand to push him back. Again, one instant doesn't proves anything. And then 99% of the defenders wouldn't have been where varane is in that picture.
Best cb in the world, period

Was definitely a foul and that showed Varane's youth. But I sure as hell wouldn't say best. He needs to be a starter first and play week in and week out. But in 2-3 yrs yes.

Not even a starter over Pepe and Ramos.

Get a grip man.
