Nope we left this arrogance for you ;) .. our prediction is realistic and to the point .. show us were we (the fans) expected a win? before you make an opinion based on nothing but your vivid imagination ..
than we can talk
we know our team , limitations and target and it never was the league meaningless classico

i remember i once visit goal.com, n there was a poll on predicting madrid-barca score..so i voted for 2-1 barca win (to see the result u need to vote)..n the displayed result is: 9-0 madrid win (40%+-),8-0 (35%+-), 7-0 (20%+-), 6-0 (5%+-)....i didn't said that this was madrid fans who voted though..:D

You can obviously look at it from 2 sides.. one is that mourinho is just being realistic in admitting his team doesnt have what it takes to go toe to toe with us and so resorting to busparking is the only option.. the other is that he is just being the coward he has always been and by that is changing the madrid philosophy..

i personally believe he is just being realistic even though he has never been the type to play attacking football and probably wouldnt have gone toe to toe even if he did believe he had the team to beat us (due to his general view on football) but in this case i truely believe mourinho realized this team does not have the midfield players required to beat us at our own game.. if anything we should take that as a compliment instead of trying to convince madridistas of something they already know and came to peace with

Changing Culture of Real Madrid . ( Mourinho C.F.)

"What else could we do?" Asked an experienced Madrid player yesterday ,being mentally unresolved after the game. "If you let them play they will paint your face!".

On Saturday, against Barca, Real Madrid did something never had done before in its history: giving up the ball on a classico. Mourinho ordered his players to wait & start back and create pressure and, once recovered the ball, launching counterattacks with more intention of verticality accuracy. The team had the ball more than 27% of playing time. It was an unusual statistic that reveals a change in philosophy and character. Even in the leg in the Nou Camp, Real Madrid had the ball of : 37%.

The mentality that the Spanish players faced in the two classicos were different. In November, they found that the tactics of Mourinho was not totally right. Yesterday, before the same plan, were more confident, more resigned. The effect of the first round of 5-0 permeated so deeply into the locker room during last week's comments were the players on the club used to have a somber tone. "There is panic," said a Madrid club employee. Mourinho did nothing to change this impression. Conversely, the coach encouraged the inferiority complex among his players. The idea that Madrid is a limited team and that the only way to counter it is to accept the Barca reality.

Mourinho has launched a cultural transformation in the workforce and in the crowd. After the 1-1, left the Bernabeu fans satisfied, but the score they practically stripped themselves off the championship. The climate of complacency is also new to Club, where any result other than the victory was taken for good. The same audience that watched with suspicion, and Juande Capello for his conservatism, was proud on Saturday of a more defensive approach yet.

In October 2006, the Madrid de Capello, a transformation whose team was more exciting signing Van Nistelrooy, faced Barca Ronaldinho and Messi, who had just won the Champions . The result was a possession time of 40% and a victory (2-0). In midfield played Diarra, Emerson and Guti. But the intention of having the ball was more determined than last Saturday. In the Camp Nou, the same season, Capello's Real Madrid won 40% of possession and eight shots on goal (3-3). Two years later, with Juande Ramos, Real had a 42% of possession in the Camp Nou and Bernabeu. Pellegrini intend to manage the ball a bit stressed: 45% in Madrid and 42% in Barcelona. In the last five seasons, the club has invested over 500 million on signings.

Mourinho for months complained that the referees showed Madrid more cards than his opponents, especially at the home. "If we show fewer cards is because we are always over the ball," Pique said yesterday after protesting Mourinho again.

Statistics have their law, since it is rare rebuke who drives the ball over possession less punishment. In Saturday's game, however, showed five yellow Muñiz to the FC Barcelona to make 14 fouls and two to the Madrid fans do 22. A balance that did not stop Mourinho complaining again, "Barça let you make of it."

There is a difference between celebrating a game and a season achievement. Madrid didn't get ANY points in 5 straight matches against archrivals from Barcelona in the league and finally that streak is broken. If you were a Cule for more than 3 years then you must know how it feels to get points after not winning one game in 4 straight meetings (reference 06-08 league game stretch). Breaking any bad streak for your team makes your fans happy, no matter whether it's losing or no-win streak.

Like i said before i do understand the fans lowering their expectations after the recent thumpings and barcas dominance in world football. But you have to admit celebrating a draw at home against barca is always kinda sad for a club like madrid no matter the circumstances (the circumstances aactually make it worse seeing as you spent damn near 400m to get closer). If you cant admit to that you probably dont understand the size of the club and/or the rivalry

yet when you went for a draw and know that you slipped out of championship . ;)

Do you know a little term called perspective ? It's quite sad that some people have gone so thick not to notice the situation the rest of Europe faces. Clubs realize that if you want to win anything you eventually have to face this Barcelona, the best Barcelona in its history and there is no club who managed to outplay them in their current squad, except Mourinho's way of handling Inter, maybe you could pull Hiddink into the equation too. What was the club's largest loss under Guardiola ? 0-2 or 1-3 ? I can't remember and it doesn't matter.
It's so silly that someone like you Culeee can come here and say that it is sad for a club to be happy to get some points off Barcelona when they are playing their best line-up possible, especially after taking 5-0 beating earlier in the season with nearly the same line-up.

Ryan_Cule,
League was meaningless after Gijon defeat. It wouldn't make sense to play your butts out just to narrow the gap to 5 and then lose out on further meetings, because of the amount of work put into that game.

Who stops you from playing your best line-ups ? Who stops you from coming up with talented home grown players ? Who stops you from playing beautiful football rather than playing `big-grass-dirty-fuck` football ? Who says you aren`t a big club or not prestigious ? Isn`t it you by your own conducts and tricks over the years are loosing its own faith and focus where it should be ?

You reply reflects that inferior complex is huge in the minds and hearts of madridistas , while you are not doing anything to erase it and cheer your players up by motivating , but you are up to big-grass tactics .

CLAP.

All the other teams in europe did not spent nearly as much money just to stop us (close to 400m) and are not our arch rivals and do not have the attacking football philopsophy madrid have. At first hand it is understandable but ironically it doesnt become sad untill AFTER you put things in ´perspective´.

the greatest compliment that real and its fans can do barca is, make excuses for a 1-1 draw at home and look at it as being something good.

this type of football would not have been tolerated a few years ago, neither by fans are the club.
