u lot are underestimating Valdano & Perez.. just because they paid a lot for kaka & CR it doesn't mean they will do the same for every player.. Milan & Man U got more cause those 2 are cracks.. scheme breakers.. and will generate plenty of money as well

Albiol and co are different type of players... it's down to negotiations

i have no clue how Pellegerini will play ... it could work without 2 DM if u apply pressure upfront (old Galacticos, Barca this year ) i'll wait for our first game on the 20th in Ireland to get a clue

Real Madrid seemed to be the only obvious club to make serious moves for Albiol, unlike his now former team-mates; Villa and Silva.

Valencia are trying to be difficult, when it comes to their best player (Villa) and for understandably, he's wanted by more than one club and, well he is Valencia's hope for big bucks. With Albiol, they've probably realised that if they do not sell to Madrid, they won't get any other offers, which they can't afford. I don't see it as any considerable work done by Perez or Valdano.
