Nah, they needed immediate wage relief and the easiest players to push out are the ones with short contracts, as they are the ones who will seek longer deals elsewhere rather than being benched in last year in contract.

The sad truth is that we cannot compete on all 3 fronts,especially considering our abysmal depth and the extremely demanding schedule so far. It would be a shame if the team suddenly collapsed.
The thing is that Copa is #1 priority, La Liga is still achievable IMO and we are too stubborn to admit that we cannot compete for CL.

You could see from Betis game where the priorities are. Copa was more important than league match. We went with a huge risk vs Betis. No way Koeman expected us to win there with our reserve players.
I think priority in the cup games for now. Atletico is still so much ahead of us that it seems missing impossible, if things change though, go for it in the league.
Hard to see Atletico dropping so many points, that we and Real would have a chance to win..

The second goal is on him. Sevilla had 5 subs made and we 0. They simply overran us in the middle. EVesque from Koeman today. Puig and Trincao (instead of Dembele) subs should have happened way earlier.

Generally speaking, the already quite mediocre squad has been hit by so many injuries,there's basically no viable options on the bench.Maybe Puig or Trincao? Far from great players,at least so far.

Terrible match for Koeman. On top of the squad being short, you have 2-3 good options, and you don't even use those.
Trincao just scored a golazo, was in with confidence, and you sub him in min 90 at 0-2? That's shit management sorry.Anyway, it happens, Koeman hopefully will learn and not repeat these mistakes.

Our fitness level is much better under Koeman but where is the game plan ?? He needs to go after the season.

i've said time and time again that we get overrun in midfield almost in every game. that's why the defense is under such pressure. but nah, defense and attack are shit, that's why we lose.
this loss basically closes the season for us, as we are clearly not prepared to go against the best teams.

Dunno what are you on about. The gameplan is clear and even today we had enough chances to score one goal, which would have been great for the return tie.
That's mostly on Busi as Pedri and De Jong's workrates are high. Even with that, the two goals came from individual Umtiti brainfarts. Need a new CDM and a CB.
