Is the lack of a roof such an issue though? It barely rains in Barcelona?

I usually sit in the General, at the top of the stadium, and the views over there are always magnificent. Would be a shame to lose that view because of a roof :)

It's not a huge issue but it's the general trend in Spain for new stadiums to have a roof. Also besides of rain it can protect against the wind during the winter months.

Rosell (president): "Madrid penalty in last minute yesterday? Still can't believe it. It was so clear, there's no further comment needed."

Wow, he actually spoke.

That would only destabilize the club now.
And what's the alternative? Laporta? Drunken spending sprees and more shady deals like Keirrison, Henrique or that Uzbekistan partnership.

Laporta also had 'Vote of No Confidence', It happened after 2 completely dry seasons and a disastrous last one in every sense of the word, And even then it didn't work.

And what are the absolutely necessary and inescapable reasons for doing this to rosell?, Next thing you know, We'll be triggering 'Vote of No Confidence' for losing a single trophy or not buying an X player.

The article claims his failure to publicly explain and comment on his corruption affair as the reason. Apparently the group that is planning the vote ordered him to comment/explain it to them, which he didn't.

A group of Barcelona members will tomorrow start the procedure to trigger a 'Vote of No Confidence' against president Rosell. [sport]

Bad idea probably. Assumed that the group meets the formal requirements, Rosell can point the group out as dissenters who seek to damage the club and board; then he gets a huge majority and leaves the field stronger than before.
Vote of no confidence could have worked in the context of a trend-setting decision like the QF/QA deal, but that ship has sailed.

The group should put the focus on finding a strong challenger for 2016 and build him up.

Agreed, but actually having an alternative wouldn't be that bad either. Consolidation has its merits, but it shouldn't be the sole mainspring of a board. Where are the visions, what will this club be like in say 10 years from now (keyword plc) ? I've read Rosells' Barca 2020 idea the other day and couldn't help but notice that it was a baseline study of 2010. I just don't get it.

There are more than enough working points that almost cry out for alternative solutions by now. And if there's a living culture of democracy left in this club, they should be discussed.
