Sandro Rosell

No, I'm going on what I've been told by culés who live in Barcelona and travel to lots of away games too.

Rosell on the other hand has always been a two-faced snake whose biggest strengths were Nike connections and marketing. He has changed his "vision" for the club multiple times with the only consistency being promises to bring in players the club doesn't need but who will sell tickets, such as Cesc, Kun and Robinho. He condemned selling Ronaldinho FFS! Having Rosell and Perez run the two richest and most powerful clubs in the country will ruin La Liga, if not football in general, and I'm only being marginally hyperbolic when I say that.

My fears as well...Continuity being a reward for the work that has been done is my thinking with the current board

I always thought that raft of directors who resigned after the no-confidence vote was arranged so they could band together and come back in 2010 to run for a vague type of continuity ticket. sorta like, laporta-ism but without laporta.

At first I thought it was a Laportista plot to shield them from the fallout, it's since become obvious that it was they who wanted to distance themselves from him.

well I can't blame them. he is a twat.

fantastic president in terms of the sporting side of the club (the sense to stick by rijkaard and the balls to appoint guardiola, not to mention tell the boixos nois to go fuck themselves) but he is a lawyer and a man with serious ambition. and this becomes very obvious when one looks at some of his actions.

the uzbek connection is being blown out of proportion. as I said at the time the article which paints bunyodkor as the team of a brutal regime is sloppy sloppy journalism full of suppositions and plain guesswork. just as with city he's quickly allied himself with the new money superrich kids on the block and that is a genius political move. instead of being anti-city (as the club-ethos demands) and making an enemy of a club with enough money to pay the buyout clause on ANY player, he's gotten chummy with them and effectively killed any chance of them trying to take one of our players against our will and almost pulled off the deal of the century flogging eto'o for €30m when he would have been free in a year's time.

but apart from that yeah, he's done some seriously retarded things.

My objection to the Uzbek affair wasn't so much the supposed immorality but the fact that he was willing to submit the team to a friendly behind closed doors in the middle of the season during one of our rare free midweek slots. Some would say that for the money it was well worth it but quite frankly I think it degrades Barça when a president is willing to pimp the side out like that.

how will sandro be a dictator? again Mones, Moix, Bartelomeu, Ingla are not yes men in any way.

sandro will listen to his other vice presidents. sandro is a marketing man for a start not a economist.

yes we may have had sucess on the pitch but other clubs in europe dislike us, the rest of spain(i dont really care I am pro independence) hate us even more than before, god forbid we try to buy a big name player from a spanish club.

sandro bought marc ingla and soriano into elefant blau. sandro bought Deco and Eto'o as well as Ronnie. Give credit where creidt is due.

The basketball teams, handball, etc can play in the palau sant jordi until a new arena is built so that is no big deal. ask the fans of the basketball teamwhat they think of Laporta as well.

Laporta had to come clean regarding his brother in law because SPORT produced documents that backed up their claims.

Rosell por presidente. ad today the elections maybe in March or April. brilliant

For clarification they happened to be together at a book launch by Gabriel Masfurroll, a former Barça VP. Why Perez was there I don't know, but Masfurroll is also president of a chain of private hospitals, maybe Perez's company has constructed some of their facilities?

By the way, if Florentino was any further away from Masfurroll he'd be out of the shot! Is he afraid of catching Barçitis?

Saw the vid in Marca. Perez and Masfurroll were actually more friendly in the video than Rosell and the guy. Rosell also tried to distance himself from Perez while on a photoshoot. This pic is not a good example imo.

I have only read this forum until now, but I think I have to comment on a few things now... I always enjoyed reading what Cule Angles had to say, but this time I seriously disagree with you (and all the other poster who support Rossel).

Just a couple of remarks:

First, on a different note... Soriano & co. stepped down, so that they could in a united ticket in 2010 to my knowledge.

1. Rossel supports Guardiola. Well he didn't support him when Laporta had the guts to appoint him, neither did he support Rijkaard in the winter of 2004 or summer of 2004 for that matter. (he wanted Scolari) He also did not support the sales that Pep wanted. (eto'o, ronnie, deco)
2. He pushed Rijkaard to change our formation from 433 to 4231. Obviously it didn't work, as Rijkaard found out himself soon enough. He opposes the Cruyff sistem and Cruyff himself.
3. He signed Ronaldinho, but he DIDN'T sign Eto'o.
4. He didn't want to sell Ronaldinho last year, saying it would be better to sell him a couple of seasons back when he was still worth something. How much is Messi worth right now?
5. He always criticized openly the current board after he was no longer on the board. Although this is basically a good thing, he did so also in the most uncertain times, when it was critical for all cules to support the club. He also wrote a book disclosing much confidential info about the club.
6. He loves Nike not Barça.
7. Laporta is hated by Marca and As, Rossel is liked by them. Even beast likes him. (of course he does - his ideas resemble those of Perez)Madridistas have a different conception of football and even reality for that matter. Ergo -we should hate him;).
8. R bought Quaresma. :hooray:
9. R fired Bodiroga.
10. Laporta is the most succesfull president in the history of the club.. We may never repeat this kind of amazing era again. I agree, he is an egomaniac and lacks the diplomacy sometimes, but so does Rossel - and the latter didn't bring us 2 european cups and 3 leagues.. So where does your loyalty towards him come from?
11. He wants to buy Cesc for a lot of money. Fuck Cesc.

And most importantly: Laporta appointed Pep. And he represents everything we love about our club, from La masia to our devotion to beautifull football and everything else that goes along with this institution. That alone is enough for me. Rossel would never had the guts.

I guess we don't realize it will probably never again be so enjoyable and beatifull to be Barca fan as it is now.

Oh and one last thing from me... Who the fuck cares Spaniards don't love barca as much as they used to. Catalunya is not Spain.
