But a perfect example of what can only be seen as deliberate moves to erode the very foundation of the club - La Masia has taken a massive nosedive in the past 5 seasons...Our greatest assets are more out of the club than in, in ever alarming numbers

Hard to understand

Meet hard to understand the logic behind all of this. What are they thinking?

Absolute rubbish.

Just ignoring the greater roles that Munir, Sandro, Rafinha and Roberto have all had in the past year or so.

There is no 'deliberate plan to erode La Masia' at all. Samper not getting a chance is down to Luchos opinion of him and fuck all else.

Id say the biggest cause of any erosion of la masia is actually our sucsess. Take a look at our golden generation most of them came into the first team when we were less sucsessful.
Two of our best defenders to come through la masia (alba and pique) had to leave the club to prove themselves before returning to the first team a route i hope quite a few of our recently sold youngsters will take.
The big problem now is we have become so accustomed to succsess most of the time we cant really afford to play the youngsters now due to the chance they could do something that costs us points and potentially trophies in the long run.
Then next you have the media and the fans both as vicious as each other now would rather tear the youngster to shreads now rather than give them a break after a poor performance (if the rumours of samper being scared with b team last year how would he cope with that onslaught)

Played a great game, stat-wise. Wasn't able to watch his performance, but this shows some promise. I hope Lucho will develop the balls to play him in the Liga, I'm certain Samper can handle it.

Bad 1st half ,very good second one .one of the main positives in the game .
He clearly still understanding and learning the CM position though IMO.

I agree. Was the best player on the pitch in the second half (besides Mathieu). Quite accurate passes considering the potato field and showed glimpses of dribbling as well.
But it really shoewd that he is not ready to play DM for La Liga- too easily pushed away from ball and bullied and tackles were weak and naive. Perhaps that explains why Lucho prefers Gumbau- he can rest Busquets in games that are decided (although really, G is not first team material) because he can at least foul or tackle if necessary.
But Samper really has a Barca DNA, no doubt. ;)

Could be the reason he's staying with the B team. To learn the role, more thoroughly, with less pressure?

Use the occam's razor, it makes much more sense.
If he isn't called, that is because Lucho and probably other coaches aren't satisfied with him.
"Keeping" him in Bteam because he is the best, for his own good, for him to learn to play on a new position etc is highly unlikely.
