Seydou Keita

Thought he was excellent tonight, one of his best games. Chased players down, some crucial tackles and interceptions, and his passing and movement with the ball was really good. Other than that wasted chance in the first half he didn't really put a foot wrong.

yup.

so pleased to see him put in a performance like that again. it's been a while since he has.

the way he stretched sevilla's midfield by holding his width, though, that's why pep plays him so much (it also creates a running lane for the LB to get straight at the RB). it's an epic skill.

Good?, he was bloody brilliant you fat bastard.. Omid Djalili . So some people are upset with the possibility of selling Yaya and keeping him and not vise versa..

underrated to the last.

when everyone else on the pitch was losing their head at the start of the game, keita was a picture of calmness and control. this radiated from him to his nearest teammates (abidal, yaya and pedro) and then out to everyone else after that left side created our opening goal.

brilliant player and a key element to our team's balance.

no love?

he's so underrated by culés.

you people should go watch him live, that'll open your eyes to how much work this guy puts in to pressing the ball, distributing it simply, then holding width to open up spaces for other players.

I'll be honest I probably underrate him, he works his ass off but especially for the majority of this season it never seemed to contribute to a final product. He played great tonight and last week as well though, no denying that.

Dont worry Meta, last season Pep said hes the only undisputeable member of the squad. If the manager has that much faith in you then you'll be alright.

the following scenario happens 30560109 times a match and I don't think culés take notice of it that much:
Piqué drives forward, a little bit over the mid circle but to the right hand of it. Keita makes a run into the box, dragging his marker to the box. Abidal makes a run in the deep behind LW(last night it was Bojan). Unfortunately, Bojan doesn't release the ball to Abidal as much as he should because Abidal has assisted quite some times from that position now.
So who makes this scenario possible? The names Seydou fucking Keita! Without that run it will be too much risk for being caught up in posession.

His box-to-box running is incredible. He's the perfect type of player to use against teams that are prepared to play against Andrés. You throw in Keita and it's a wonderful effect.

Would love to see Keita score as much as he did in the beginning of the last season, and with yesterday in mind it looks promising! :p
