He played 40mins or so. He was okay, not great. Spain were pretty bad tbh.

Balotelli owned the Spanish defence/midfield quite a lot. Valdes made some good saves.

Sums it up yes. He had some great passes but made some mistakes. Definitely not ready to play week in week out if Xavi or Iniesta gets injured, but we all know that he has the potential to become a starter for us in 2-3 years.

Btw, if you guys didnt know, The city where Italy played Spain (Bari) happens to be the capital of the region where Thiago was born. Perfect time to make his Spain debut...

Now it's official that Thiago is going to be as good as Xaviesta... They too lost their first match with Spain. It can't be coincidence every time!!

I wonder if Thiago and Balotelli actually met or played together at La Masia, since Balotelli had a (unsuccesful) trial at Barcelona, and they're the same age...

:lol: i just can't make my mind up about Balotelli sometimes i find him funny sometimes i despise him, but when he wound the whole of United up that was hilarious
