It´s incredible how Roberto and JDS who play much less don´t want to leave the club. And Thiago who played regularly does this travesty to the club...

I just hope he fails.

Haha spot the drama queen.

what can be expected of a board that sells one of its brightest prospects to a team that beat us 7-0 the previous season?

this is strictly the result of bad management and a breakdown of priorities between coaching staff and the board.

Waking up on a Monday morning to this piece of shitty news. Extremely mad at the ungrateful kid, the incompetent Tito, Zubi and Rosell, finally the big bad Scheiß Bayern and their sidekick Guardiola.

Call me naiive, I do wish him to break a leg. And sorry Thwix, ignore this post!

Does anyone know what happened between Pep and Rosell that created so much bad blood between the two? Like the only thing I can think of was Cryuff being revoked of honorary president or whatever. Although he's a legend, he does talk too much.

The way I see it, this move from Pep was either bc a) he isn't liking what he is seeing from the current squad with their understanding of his gameplan so he needed someone who "gets it" and build from him out or b) it's a nice final fuck you to Rosell by stealing him during his reign. I'll say this much, if Laporta was still in control, this move probably wouldn't have materialized.

:

I've got a couple things that could have caused this.

1) As you mentioned, Cruyff being "offended" and renouncing to the medal that was given to him simply b.c the Directors had stated that "an honor" president was never part of Barca's directory or history.
2) All memebers came together to decide whether they should take Laporta and the ex Barca management to court. Barca memebers voted to take them to court so they could respond for all the debt they had accumulated during their presidency. ( It was Rosell and the more than half the members who had decided on this). Because Laporta was Pep's friend, he might have felt offended by this.
3) Pep came out to defend the ex . presidency members .
Supposedly, Pep had spoken to Rosell telling him that if he didn't stop these legal actions against Laporta he would leave ( and they did stop).
4) Naming Tito Pep's replacement (many say that Pep didn't even know Tito would replace him and that's why they are not so close anymore).

BUT in my opinion the biggest issues was the fact that Pep recently blamed Rosell and co for some of the commentaries that the media was echoing about him.
For example, the information about Pep trying to steal Neymar from us . ( Which he later admitted to talking to him ) . I remember the first time I saw those documents. They were shown the first time in a madrid tv show. It wasn't sport or mundo deportivo the ones to bring that to light.
Also, some newspapers were saying that Pep hadn't visited Tito while he was in New York ( pep admitted to visiting him when he could do it ).
To me, all these things were in his head. He let Laporta and company poison his head and then went crazy on US simply b.c some papers ( some of them were not even from catalunya) were saying all these things about Pep.

Someone explain to me how after barca get humiliated by Bayern, they then turn around and sell Bayern their absolute best prospect? Its like Bayern's literally bossing Barca around

It's simple. Thiago wanted out and had a low buyout clause, which Bayern trigged.

and on top of that, Thiago's agent is Pep's brother...so they can basically plan a strategy while eating dinner or watching tv.

You seem to have created some elaborate story of how Pep's brother helped orchestrate some devious scheme for Pep to steal Thiago from Barca, yet question how anyone could possibly blame Rosell or the management for Thiago's buyout dropping so low.

That's just a conspiracy theory. If not bayern, he'd be going to man utd. He wasn't going to stay, anyway. I don't know his reasons, but it was clear he wasn't staying this time.

There is nothing to orchestrate,

It's as simple as pay the the clause and that's it.
I was just pointing out how it is so much easier when the player you want so bad is represented by your brother.

Are we still talking about this dude?

No longer our problem, at least Rosell got a couple extra million out the deal.

Time to move on.

Cesc can rotate w/ both Xavi and Iniesta. We need to give a real look @ Alex Song if we keep him. He's really a good box-to-box player and can rotate for Xavi too. Tito can also play a double-pivot (would make us more defensively sound) w/ either Busquests/Song or even Busquests/Xavi.

Sergi Roberto can get some minutes against the lower-table teams.

It would just be beautiful if we were to make a move for Oliver Torres this summer or the next. He's too perfect for us.
