Was picked over Kroos today and really made use of it. 185 touches in 90 minutes, 159 passes completed, and was really good at accelerating the play with his passes between the lines and quick one-two's.

It doesn't matter if he plays exactly like Xavi, he really is a midfield engine even if he is more graceful and forward minded. He was the brains behind a 5-0 Bayern performance and controlled the game consistently. He's given back to back world class performances since his return from injury. VDB probably having a huge headache right now.

Do you guys think he has a chance of making the WC squad? I very much doubt VDB will consider it as I know he is not very fond on changing some of the players, but with Isco not playing regularly at the moment and Thiago being in great form surely he might stand a chance?

Koke,iniesta,xavi,silva,mata are all ahead of him And with Alonso back so will the double pivot meaning less attacking minded players on the team. But He might be able to unseat Mata now that he hasn't gotten playing time if he keeps it up, But if the bias holds true then isco will get the nod.

I would take Thiago over Koke any day. Isco is not playing regularly as you said and Mata just transferred. I know who I'd pick if I were VdB.
