Why would you get a relegated team's keeper for a team that challenges for the treble every season?! There is a reason why QPR are going to and it is not just because the defense is shite.

Julio Cesar has the highest saves to shots ratio in the EPL this season. His team is a complete joke and if it wasn't for him, they would've secured relegation 10 weeks ago. Exactly like when Madrid got Varane from a relegated team in France.

David de Gea is my #1 choice but if Man U don't want to sell?
Transfers nowadays depends on the players. A club can say a player is not for sale, but if the player requests a transfer, then nothing can really be done.

Sir Alex has a my way or the high way policy at United, if a player wants to leave, he won't think twice about selling them.

Well as I said David de Gea is my #1 choice: young, Spanish, future Spanish #1, great shot stopper etc. Perfect signing.

I agree. We would have to spend a lot of money but it would be a lot better than getting someone like Guaita for little money.

Since there is a lack of suitable goalkeepers in the world, that is one position where overspending is likely the better option since a lot of cheaper ones are not exactly good. I'd rather splash out for De Gea who is actually great rather than Guaita who is very inconsistent.

There are a lot more options for central defenders and the cheaper options like Inigo Martinez could well end up being better transfers than the expensive "star" signings like Hummels

De Gea would be great but he's out of the question. He has won over his critics at United and has firmly established himself as their no. 1 for years to come. He seems to be very happy there and he has no real reason to leave. We'd have to spend a lot of money and I really don't think he'd ask to leave. To be honest, I don't think United would even consider selling him unless it was a ridiculously high offer. Like us, they have also had trouble in the past with goalkeepers so they will not want to have to deal with the issue again now that they have it sorted.

If United can seal the deal for Begovic, De Gea is a truly possible option. His girlfriend has already said something like De Gea would like Barcelona or wants a return to Spain (I forgot exactly what she said but it was something along those lines). He is more confident speaking his native language with teammates he can connect and confidently play with and he will be far more comfortable in an environment he is familiar to, unlike England which is still foreign to him.

She said he would be delighted to play for Barça but a couple of weeks after that, he himself said he was happy at Manchester and would rather return to Madrid if he were to leave them one day.
