I'm torn on the Guaita thing. Before Valdes said that he wasn't renewing and Guaita wasn't linked to us, he was having a really good season for Valencia and had some phenomenal games (like vs Madrid in the 1st half of the season). I actually backed him to be the future Spain keeper after the end of the Casillas era.

Ever since he's been linked with us though he's been piss poor, and there's nothing I can say to defend him . As a player I like him but I agree that based on this form he is not Barca material.

Hard to link it with transfer rumors.His form has always been inconsistent every season which is why neither he nor diego alves can cement their place as undisputed number one. Why would you back a decent 26 year old to be spain's number one anyway? Post Casillas he would probably be 30 already.

Oh no, Neymar is going to be an absolute flop and only one centre back ? I hope that means they put a lot of trust in Bartra for the coming season.

In the UK, the most highly touted keeper outside the big clubs is Asmir Begovic, 25 of Stoke City, with a transfer fee in the region of £15m. I only mention this because he has been linked with most of the big clubs Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal. If for example he was to join the likes of Man Utd or Chelsea, it might free up one of their keepers, eg a De Gea or Courtois.

Courtois is a gr8 option btw ,he fills the whole "knows the language ,can play barca style " description ,he is also really young ,Chelsea will be a tough team to get a player from them ,but Courtois is just years away from being a starter with the team having Cech who will be just 31 by the end of the season (which mean with his height and being a GK ) he can easily continue to start for 5-7 more years

Have any of you seen N'Koulou (Marseille) play? He could be a good CB option. Quick, smart, good reader of the game, can bring the ball out of the back and play a pass..only weakness is that he's kind of weak in the air.

Does anyone know who Andre Cury is? A piece on the biggest portal here claims he is Barça's representative here in south america.
Some bit of what he said to them:
"To us(Barça) is indifferent if he comes in july, december ou summer 2014. We want Neymar at any time, and this isn't new. It's since 2011. If we have to negotiate, pay, we'll do that. The press here is saying he is a representative from Barça. Many respected newspapers. Either he's saying he is, or he is, I have no idea. Neymar's agent is Wagner Ribeiro.
