How were we big favourites?
Needed a historic comeback against Ac Milan and got through against PSG with away Goals.
Even struggled to beat Real Betis in the Camp Nou around that time.

I was in MAlta at that time and hung around with people from all over the world, but mostly England, Ireland, Spain and Italy, most of which were interested in football. All of them considered Barca still as the best team and favorite to win it. If you read the articles before and after that semifinal on guardian etc., all pundits expressed equal opinions and were equally shocked afterwards.

You guys had won the CL with the same core of players in 09 and 11, while we came off second best to Inter in 2010 and bottled it two years later against one of the worst teams to have ever won the Champions League. Our last international title was in 2001 at that time.

Doesnt matter, it was not possible to beat Chelsea that year, it was just pure fate, it was simply ment to be. Barca couldnt beat them either.

Can you find some of those articles that had us as favorites?

You went through the QFs easily against Juve, while we needed an epic comeback versus AC Milan and away goals vs PSG.

So, 55 people voted for a CL win or a defeat in the final (which meant that we will win against Bayern in semis)
And 28 people voted that we will lose.

So, even before a 0:7 defeat, 66% of this forum were saying that we will go through.

You expect a team's fans to predict defeat before a CL semis? What odds were the bookies offering, that is the real question. For me, you put your money where your mouth is, everything else is so much noise.

After the semi-final draw, Barcelona had the best odds to win the Champions League.
