Vitor Roque (loaned to Real Betis)

Betis is probably is level but again he will have to prove it.

I keep saying, the fact that he couldn't even get a look from two Barca coaches and is not even considered for this Brazil team, who are as average as they come, is very telling.

If this guy fails at Betis it's gonna be right back to Brazil likely on a loan and a disaster for Barca.

So it’s a lose lose situation.

He works out, they snatch him for 25m.

He doesn’t, they ship him back to enjoy his 7 years long contract.

Since its a fan owned club the central administration has to explain publicly who is responsible for this farce of a deal. At least when it comes to torres they can pin it on his being a city player (though by no means enough justification ). Club needs to explain who is responsible for this disaster of a deal.

Yes, another masterclass from the Special Olympics Sporting Department.

However, I don't think this one will hurt us that much. I just can't see a situation where he will end up being worth significantly more than 25m in the next 2 years.

And it seems Barca think the same.

Probably Andre Cury.

That guy has been making millions off selling Barca trash from Brazil for decades now.

25M for 80% of his rights.
They won't pay that unless they are shipping him for higher price. So in such case we get compensation for what we paid for him.
It's still bad, but a little less bad.

If he works out we can bring him back for free in the summer.

If they buy him the 2nd summer for basically 30m, they will 100% sell him for way more in a year or two, and we'll end up making a profit on the deal.

None of the recent loans/sales with buybacks are as bad as the forum initially thought, when they take a second to think about it.

The only terrible one is chadi.

Nico, the 40% sell on clause makes the 8m sale not look as bad, as when we thought it was 20-25%,, if he really pops we could make a very good return on him.

Faye, again the sell on,which is active even if we are the ones that buy him back, makes the deal a good one under the circumstances.

Roque, if he pops in his first season, we get him back for free, nothing they can do about it,

If they end up buying him for 25m, in the 2nd season, it's because he showed something promise and they will sell him shortly after for way more, we then end up with a small profit, from the whole situation.

Only way it doesn't work out, is if he's absolutely shit.

This is a great analysis of the situation. I really do hope he makes good though, I think he just needs some time.

Other clubs are starting to take advantage knowing we loan out all our players.
They dont offer any buyout and just waits until we get desperate and make a loan offer.

If Betis decide to permanently sign Roque after 2 years for €25M, Barça will have a buy-back option of €27.5M

That sounds a bit strange?
