What do you blame the president for if it is not the performance of coach and players?

Every other president lives and dies by that and Barca have just come off a summer when the whole argument for 25 years of Barca being at a financial disadvantage is that need to be competitive now.

If the right coach and players are not in place to achieve that then it is on the president and the board.

Sure Laporta, like any president will be held responsible for the performance of the team, ultimately. But practically, what else could have he done and done differently in your opinion? He got the players he thought we need, or Xavi thought we need. We still stink, and in my opinion Xavi shares most of the blame.

Not all on Xavi. Players need to step up. Dembele could have done way better. Pique was fielded cause no other options.

Ofcourse on Xavi 100%

The amount of counter attacks we received? Thats because we didnt play slow football and we passed risky direct passes to often .. that is because he chose to play slow Pique and Busquets while leaving the midfield empty for counters and asking players to spread wide .. that is because Xavi is giving Dembele the freedom to be stupid and do things that cause us to lose possession

They say the second half is the managers half .. we were winning 1-0 at half time

This is just not true. The football under Xavi has been great in most games, including the current season.

Everyone wanted Arteta fired last season, specially after Arsenal's embarassing start, but they are now being rewarded for it.

Sorry, I just can't agree with that.

Not buying full better backs in summer was a huge fuck up as said at time.

There is no real quality in any of them going forward to over lap and let wide players get closer to the striker.

Which means CMs have to get higher up park to support CF and leave team exposed on break.

Same issues as always just with better players.

Working v the dross in La Liga which there is a lot of.

The most frustrating thing about this situation is you know Laporta won't fire him until the end of the season at least (and thats if he even does fire him).

Tuchel in now and we might get the 'new manager bounce' and turn things around, however slim those odds look right now.

This result is the same as the Benfica result a year ago. It is a match that we both should win and can not lose.

Different personnel but not much progress in essence. Serious questions need to be asked.

as easy as he got lucky with la masia golden generation + pep. he also got unlucky(fucked up) in this tenure.

EL back to back is no coincidence and worst president since gaspar. all facts, lucky or unlucky

He chose to play Pique cause Araujo, Kounde, Christensen are injured. Maybe could have put Alonso there and put in Alba, but Alonso has been terrible so far.

this makes me think back to Valverde at least he was winning La Ligas and getting to semifinals of CL not going into Euro League ugh

he wanted Alonso instead of a good player he kept Pique instead of replacing him with a good player
he swears by Busi who along with Pique give up goals to the opposition like candy at Halloween
this is bad managing Laporta did not want Messi but he wanted Ferran

Ferran is TRASH
why does Raphina your biggest money signing come off in a game? he should never come off let alone when you're trailing looks like Ferran 2
if FDJ doesn't play 90 min he should not be here

why can he never counter the opposition he's starting to blame players like Koeman
and Cruyff other than the name he is a nobody
terrible choices
we could have kept Messi we had the money!!!!

Then thinks having Busi as lone DM on front of likes of Pique is a good idea.

Neither offer any protection to the other.

Club should have done more to try and force Pique out in the summer.

Nobody fires a manager that is 1st place in the league, with most goals scored and fewest conceded. Discussion is getting silly. I'm out.

And you still haven't adressed Arteta at Arsenal. Or how Klopp finished third and last place in two UCL group stages in the same seasons he won two Bundesligas in a row for Dortmund.

Even Cruyff got a lot of backlash for some time at Barcelona, he wasn't an instant sucess as a coach. He had plenty of people asking him to be fired at some moments.
