But even van gaal said basically the same..

The best we've gotten from him, is now that Xavi has adjusted the system to rain in his running for the sake of running tendencies.

But he's also right when he says xavi has the coach has to make adjustments to the players he has, which is what he's done with the box Midfield tbh, in order to maximize certainly players..

I think after a few more weeks the team will start clicking.

Nah FDJ was Barcas best mid before changed position and better now... was also Barcas best mid the season before that this guy claims Barca played 'positional play' and was best mid in the 433 just before went with four mids.

He was far better than Gavi at CM for example.

Of course Xavi will try to maximise his players.. all coaches with half a brain will try to do that.

Xavis positional play has been hindering likes of Pedri and even Gavi at times. All been discussed plenty.

So if this guy is correct then likes of Ferran are the ones to get back in team as they understand positional play...Alba, Pique all understood this better than players in team now...

The reality is team got better when Pique left and Alba left/were relegated.

The guy is making out Balde, Gavi, Kounde, Araujo all dont fit 'positionl play' that Pique, Alba and Busquets did before left.

Although as has been discussed plenty Xavi is guilty of trying to make players play roles that dont suit them.

The guy goes in on positional play and makes out many players dont get it in comparison to players there in past... names Balde, Christensen, Araujo, Kounde, Gavi, Fati etc those that done understand it in same way says gave FDJ more freedom as suits him better.

Then claims the season before they were better at it and names likes of amigos and Ferran as those who understood it.

Try watching it.

Guess the player most involved when the point is made about 'positional play and movement' in 21/22... that would be FDJ. Involved in every bar 1.

Very pro FDJ video and showing his ability to play positional football really if point is how much better it was in 21/22. Watch the clips he uses for it.

Good video. Improving the squad and fixing the holes on about 3 starting positions (soon 4 since Lewa is approaching retirement), and developing the young players we have is the way forward.

Need RB, LW, DM and 9. Roque is hopefully the 9, Cancelo the RB maybe. Sign a LW and a new DM next summer. Players who can contribute now obviously, no more teenagers, we have enough of those, and Roque is also a teenager with no experience in European football.

Other than those squad problems, Xavi also has to do better at getting these players to play more cohesive football. It's all too similar to EV's rigid style from a few years ago.

Transfers have been pretty hit and miss, mostly miss. We didn't sign any great players that's for sure. But we've also spent very little by modern football metrics.

Barca have spent hudreds of millions on players in less than past couple years and had players worth hundreds of millions there before and coming through youth system and signed for no fees.

Really all squads have issues at moment.. Maybe City have the least but they also have by far best coach that makes the biggest difference.

Bayern most complete squad after that then Barca in a group behind that.

The video does ignore the way likes of City currently play and how Xavi is trying to play.. he isnt trying to create triangles all over park and inter changing players.

Like Pep he wants a very structured set up with a few players with freedom moving within that.

I'm glad you're now aware all squads have holes though after 1 season of talking horse poop about the holes in our squad.

This season he needs to do much better in terms of quality of football. Last season's title feels like Atletico's vintage Simeone.

I appreciate that kind of football as well but not at Barca. Nevermind the fact it looks accidental and not actual defensive system.

Took Simeone 12 years to begin playing a little bit of attacking ball. Wonder how many years for Xavi.
