Just that the performance of Xavi from last season takes a big effort to beat for a new manager. Not easy to dominate a big league like that.

They dont need to beat that.. they need to improve team from position it took for him to be sacked and then play against similar expectations from there.

How long should EV have been given of poor results as won x2 titles and even top when sacked?

So, for you a new manager should not be expected to be at least as good as Xavi was?
Its about what will happen going forward not what was done before.

There is no such thing as 'credit'. Its about evaluating whether the future of the team will be better with him.

If the new manager improves what was due to happen then yes it is the right choice.

I expect if Xavi is sacked that the new coach would improve the situation inherited and be judged to same standards of Xavi from there.

Obviously would hope they would be better than Xavi was... or no point sacking him anyway.

How much more time should have EV got after two titles?

 Keep telling yourself that.

A new manager comes in, the initial objective is to compete for the title.
Next season the objective is to get the title.

Xavi did that faster. In his first actual season, that's all.

It is a logical answer.

How much more time did EV deserve? If Xavi gets a season of bad results what did EV deserve if club fair to him?

Just checked the xG, xGA, and xP points of last season in La Liga. Team ranked no1 in each category meaning they won the title because they were the best team period.

Simple as that. Trying to discredit that simply downgrades you as a fan.

Then, if you are going to use this argument, at least do it right FFS

1) Understat is a crap site that uses crap models.

2) We never look at XG, but at non-penalty xG for and against, which shows how much the team produced and conceded. Barca had indeed the best non-p. xG diff. last season: 74 xG for, 30 xG against in total. 1.95 xG for/ 0.85 xg against per 90 min.
Madrid had for comparison 66 xG for, 35 xG against, 1.74 for/0.92 against per 90 min

3) The problem is NOT that we didn't deserve the title last season because there were better teams.
The problem is we were LUCKY, amassing 1-0s in games we should have drawn, despite the lack of better teams. And it's reflected the the xPts which is much lower than what we got

PS: You keep saying that the objective is the title for whoever comes. True
but you conceal in purpose that the objective is NOT ONLY the title, but also BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL.
Xavi failed miserably in the 2nd objective, and failed already last season when we won the title.
The next manager should be able to improve that soon and also compete for the title

Initial objective, compete for the title.
Next objective, win the title.

Maybe in some circumstances you could keep your job if you narrowly fail 2 times in a row. Just maybe.

How more time did EV deserve after two titles and a cup while top of league when sacked?

Quite telling cant answer this one but will keep asking as know wont which in itself makes the point.

EV had Messi and like a billion in transfers  Nonsense comparison.

Nah its not and he also lost Neymar.. didnt get to choose who money spent on and had amigos to deal with and a much better Real side.

Perfect relevant comparison if argiment is coaches get credit in bank when win titles for at least a season.

Same Messi Serghie argued made Barca worse...

That back four of EV wasnt as good as now and others like FDJ walk into that side.

When you look at the team in 18/19 we had Sergi Roberto and Lenglet as defenders, in midfield Rakitic, old Busquets, a washed up version of Arturo Vidal, Arthur and ofc Coutinho, in offense a turtle Suarez who didnt score a cl away goal for years. Only worldclass player was Messi lol. It was a miracle to win ll and reaching semi final in cl.
