Messi and Gundogan means the creating part in midfield is majorly improved so we no longer depend on Pedri. Firmino, Vitor Roque are improvements in attacking options at 9. And Carrasco and Abde are improvements on the left.

All I want are improvements in both starting 11 and squad options. If those can be done without weakening what we already have, it's awesome.

Firmino is another older players that will be on the decline soon. Team surely needs pace as an option up top not a poorer version of Lewa.

Pedri is more creative than Gundogan but Gundo is far ahead of Gavi.. but who plays there and 12m a season a lot to pay for a player at that age... if that is correct.

These options only exist as cheap solutions on short contracts. Because the club can't afford to splash hundreds of millions as transfer sums like EPL clubs.

Gavi is not a playmaker, he has other qualities. If more creative players come he is gonna be used more in midfield, as he should. He has been used as a left winger, off position, because he has a massive engine, not because he is attacking-minded in nature.

He is gonna benefit also from offensive signings. Most of the problems of this team are in attacking midfield and offense.

That is not true.

The club spent huge last summer and these players on 12m contracts etc are not cheap.

Part of the reason Barca cant spend this summer is because of how they spent a year ago.

Gavi cant play midfield to any great level yet.. has been abysmal these past games since moved there but he needs to learn and improve.

Barca have advantages over the EPL clubs in terms of spending also.. the top 4 is never at risk and they have less intense games week in week out.

No one is claiming Barca need to spend hundreds of millions anyway.

Spent huge? The fuck does this mean? This is normal spending in this day and age.

Xavi took over the team from 9th place, struggling for top 4 in Spain. You need serious funds to battle for CL from 9th in Spain lol. 500-600m to build a full squad from shit.

Delusional.

Spending 200m in the modern football, is spending a reasonable amount.

Especially when we look at what we got for sales.

Dont need 500/600m at all.

You claimed same about needing 100s of millions to compete with Real in league.

Absolute fantasy.

Look at the teams in semis and who have gone further in EL last few years.

Pedri/Araujo/Balde are not worse as didnt pay 250m for them.

Reason we could spend last year were the levers. We would have been under FFP this year irregardless. And not because of the spending last year.

Talk is we need 100m for our transfer business, which should be doable. If we get our targets (40m Roque, 8m Diaz by the looks of it and Messi, Gundogan) we would be at +50m transfer balance. Not to forget the relaxed FFP (you can spend 40% of your savings).

Will be close and a pain in the ass again though.

Lol, these are rookies on CL level. Not even one of those played a high pressure CL knockout game I think.

You either have patience and wait 2-3 years for those to mature, or you spend a lot to bring in top players to improve the team and stop relying on them so much.

Can't magically make these players play like seasoned CL winners as if they've used to this level.

Usual nonsense.

Go ahead and tell us who would spend 500/600m on that has 'CL experience'.

Lewa does... Pedri was far better than him in CL.

Usual excuses.

Wrong again just as were when claimed Barca could not compete with Real Madrid without hundreds more millions spent.

Alonso and Lewa fair showed their 'CL experience' this season... much better than novices like Araujo and Pedri...

Pedri

How many goals does Pedri have in CL knockouts?

Actually, strike that. How many fucking games?

Pedri was best player on park away to Bayern and Inter and at home to Inter also.

In CL he has been best mid away to PSG, Juve etc also in past and best mid in Euros at 18.

But usual shite... 'CL Experience' sure worked well for Lewa eh..

Pedri and Araujo are 100% top players in the world at this moment. Araujo whilst improving his on ball skills is starting to have little to no weaknesses in his game whilst Pedri has already had many, many big games against top teams.

Balde is less developed but still a great player.

Btw, it seems like the same arguments are just being rehashed here every single day. Lol.

Gavi and Balde are mental monsters and elite players... until the argument suits them being young naive lads that cant cope in CL.

Usual.
