Cant believe how easy sometimes he is letting us down. He will never change as it seems. He is just that kind of keeper.

So, actually, he conceded 6 goals out of 7 shots on target? Damn that's impressive even for him.

If Don Aspas would face that Barca defense + Stegen all the time he'd be a Ballon d'Or contender.

Yes and like Khaled said the 7th shot was an error as well since he cleared the ball and it ended in front of opponent to score it just like in Clasico.

Something definitely up mentally with him.

Ter Stegen has conceded 290 goals in the 292 games he has played since signing with Bar?a. This season, he has conceded 18 goals in 14 games [sport]

Worst keeper in Barca's history.

Conceding less than a goal per game is honestly a great stat for a GK. Makes him look much better than he is (and he did have 1-2 good seasons in LL)

Bravo had 44 goals conceded in 75 games at Barca. That's a great stat. Not Stegen's 1 goal per game.

But yeah, Stegen had 2 good seasons in 8 for Barca. In the rest, he's been mediocrity personified and at his worst he's really bad.

If we are to look at the starting keepers in the last 20 years, Valdes and Bravo both smoke him. Stegen is clearly the worst of the lot, which considering the hype around him when we signed him, is a really poor outcome.

I wasn't too happy with Valdes at the time, but would take Valdes back in an instant. He had really big matches where he saved us (on top of his fuck-ups obviously), that's missing almost completely for Stegen because of his frail mentality.

ter Stegen might have the blandest personality I've ever seen. And he was hyped as a leader (and the next Kahn ) during his Borussia M. days.

Just get the impression he doesn’t care. Knows he’s not going to be dropped, knows the team isn’t really going to push for the top titles. Also knows we’ve got no money to replace him. It is what it is personified

Some players get so complacent that the best thing to do with them is having them moved to some other team. Stegen would benefit from moving to a team like Dortmund, and we'd benefit too.

Like Rory said it is lack of competition. This problem could also be fixed if he had decent competition.

His stats in terms of Xg-goal conceded ratio tanked massively around the end of last season up to now. Other than that he's been decent and sometimes great but took a massive decline after the injury. There's a good picture on twitter showing how he avoids that leg on all his saves even if it's inconvenient.
