Didn´t travel with Real Sociedad to London for a friendly.

Very disappointing to see us starting to spend the Ney money on more substitutes and deadwood. Didnt Vidal, Paco, Gomes and Arda teach us anything? Valverde's personal favorites should take second seat when we have a long term rebuilding project, which is more important than the demands of yet another new coach. And the coach is already showing extreme tunnel vision, preferring his players from the Basque region. Valverde can be gone in a year and we're already stuck with the favorites of past coaches.

I'm still reading that La Real forum and still some people think it's all a conspiracy by Valverde to weaken La Real.

Why on earth are they spending so much of the much cash on a CB supposedly worse and older than what we already have and even worse than Bartra who we got rid of ...

We should have been selling off all the deadwood ( so many are not needed ) and putting the sales cash with the transfer fund plus Naymar's cash - then soending BIGTIME - this doesn't seem so complicated ...

I actually like this as a signing, Marlon is still a bit raw and Masch is 33 now. He looked set to be the next big thing a few years ago but didn't quite happen. For a rotational/occasional starting player this is the kind of back-up quality we need, he's good with the ball too.

Maybe this transfer makes more sense than people think, as we are not so stacked at CB positions as it seems.
Right now we have Pique and Umtity as the starting duo, Mascherano who is 33, Vemaelen who only god knows why is still here and Marlon whom Valverde is watching everyday in training and probably thinks he is not ready to be a starter.
So as i see it, Inigo will fight with Masche for the 3rd spot, put some pressure on Pique and Umtity and provide depth.

We have Masche and Yerry Mina is supposed to join in January for 9m euros. This is a silly transfer and certainly rules out us signing both Dembele and Mbappe. 32m out of the transfer budget for a guy its impossible to sell later on as he'll be on high wages and no top club will give an average 27 year old that except us. So we are certainly stuck with him for 5 years.
