Great performance by Iniesta, no doubt, but I don't see why you are trying to use that to shit on Pogba. Someone that is 10 years older than him. Nobody ever compared them. At least not yet. Should I do the same when Neymar plays a decent game? "Ey, guys, he is good and all, but that is garbage compared to what Messi at his best can do."

Wrong, people have been comparing them plenty times. Obviously I make the comparison because many people have been hailing Pogba as the second coming of Christ, while Iniesta, on the other hand, has been written off as done and dusted already.

I also fail to see where I'm shitting on Pogba here? (why would I? I've stated numerous times that I'd love to see him at Barça). Point I'm making is that he gets so much praise from not a whole lot of substance, while Iniesta's contribution gets neglected because of his lack of end product. The hypothetical transition from replacing The Don with Pogba won't be half as cozy as many would have us believe.

Tbf, Iniestas top level is comparable to Messi(except the goals), Pogba cant top that. Even Modric cant quite reach Iniesta at his best.

you can't expect him to play 10/10 every game can you, but the fact that he does in the big games consistently is good enough for most of us

That's a lot of BS, sorry. Iniesta had a very good season. It's really strange how many seem to fail to understand his role for Barça changed a lot, and keep with the same arguments of him "not creating". Which are not even true. He had a lot of of great pre-assists passes, which go under the radar for obvious reasons. Except when they end up being a goal, like it did today.

No I am not too emotional and you are still wrong.
I do not see the things you seem to see.

There have of course been games where Iniesta was not playing well for some reasons but the "reasons" he gets criticised in here are quite ridiculous most of the time. It is literally every time he does not contribute to a goal when we do not win the game.
He has a job to do in the team and a certain role just like everyone else and he is doing it exceptionally well. Some people would like to see him get crazy assists or dribbles every game and when it does not happen they are disappointed or whatever. Just like they expect Messi to score every game etc.
And when they run out of arguments it is: "Um... uh... yeah, he is good but only with rest."

Of course I exaggerate when it comes to Pogba, every forum member on here knows that. I've had the "best midfielder around" user title for many years now. Long before the serious hype around him started. It's what you kinda do when a lot of people hate on your favourite player. They exaggerate with their hate, so you do the same with the love to even things out. Let's just enjoy Iniesta's genius for now. Then we will see with time what Pogba's ceiling is.
