Yeah. Hard to blame the player. Many things were wrong, and he was thrown to the wolves today.

The game was gone before he entered. Look at neymar or suarez if you want someone to blame. Every dribble Neymar failed ended up being a counter attack for RM. Suarez bottled easy goals.
Arda may have been non-existant in some games but you can't blame this score on him. RM was a lot better this game,they deserved the win. Instead of circlejerking or bashing use a little objectivity.

Everything that was happening with Arda on was happening with Raki on in the 20 mins before. Had Raki stayed on it was going the same way.

Marcelo was getting the freedom of the pitch.

Should have just stuck Roberto on with the one task of matching Marcelo physically and nothing else.

The system Barca played allowed Marcelo to flourish and Lucho did nothing to change it.

Bringing him on instead of Roberto was stupid. We were already on the backfoot down that flank and subbing in Arda actually made the situation worse. His only contribution in the entire game was taking a shot that was blocked close range.

Just criticizing how bad he is isn't making him a scapegoat. He's obviously not at fault for the loss but he was still pretty damn useless from the moment he came on until the end of the game. And come on, with how often I have to hear about his incredible achievements and boundless experience, hearing him get the same "He was thrown to the wolves" excuse that we'd give for Munir or Bartra doesn't exactly make much of a case for him.

Of course it's not his fault, but it's impossible to deny that Turan just looks clueless when on the pitch. He's invisible and has very little impact on games most of the time he's been on the pitch in a Barca shirt.

Arda was the one who cased the red card for Ramos got (should've been sent off way earlier) thanks to his run and made indeed a good pass to Suárez.

Unfortunaly, the latter couldn't control the ball once the Uruguayan received it.

Having said that, Roberto should've been subbed on for Rakitic.
