Completely unrelated, but, seeing players with names such as Arthur, or James, and realize they are not from the UK or whatever, but...Brazil? Colombia? Its so weird.
Whats next, George from Argentina?

They love giving American / English names and nicknames in Brazil. There are players like Kerlon, Wellington, Bernard, Jefferson, Alison, Chris, Oscar, Fred, Malcom and so on..

From a financial perspective, it would appear that #Juventus are effectively paying #FCBarcelona ?10m to exchange Pjanic for the younger Arthur, but the accounting treatment means that both clubs will report around ?60m profit from this transaction. Let?s explain how [SwissRamble]

It's a money laundering deal folks

Juve fans very worried about us getting Pjanic. He is no bum that's for sure.

I think that Barcelona will improve with Pjanic in the midfield.

If people judge Arthur from his Gremio days. It's 2 season ago and how many Brazilian who success in Brazillian League but cant translate it to Europe. If it based 2 season ago, people should judge Pjanic based on 2 seasons ago and even last season. He is key player for us, A winner and already understand Italian Football. I know he is not so good now but It could be the problem of the tactics or Sarri system for him. But still we shouldnt let Barca ask more money or triple Arthur salary. If so, it would be a big risk to us.
Even Arthur has upside and young age, if he is not exceptional, later we will find difficulty to offload him

And If the goal for this transfer is to balance the book on paper. But in reality we gives Barca 15m and not getting reduced in Player's salary. I dont understand how it could be good for us

The only upside of this transfer is age...

Also I'm curious to see where Barca plans to use Pjanic?

Is it clear to anyone what has caused the clear deterioration in Pjanic?s form in 2020?

I assume it is connected Sarri. I cannot see, or theorise, why his performances have plummeted this season.

No it is not money laundering.

That must be one of the most over used statements by those that dont understand it.

Yeah agree. Don?t see how a passing/possession type player changes anything for them. We?ll see.

Hope you?re right about Pjanic been good for us.

Arthur may not change that much for them, but they get a 7 years younger player with potential for improvement for 10M (who is probably 10M cheaper in wages over his contract length so in the end they get him for 'free') for a declining Pjanic who maybe has 1 or 2 good years in him before he turns into an overpaid star who isn't worth a dime on the transfer market.

Basically, a steal for Juve. Even Arthur haters will have to admit that this is crazy from a financial standpoint.

The ten million more or less makes up the difference in Arhur to Pjanic wages across four years.

Could easy be Juve are paying that across the contract for his salary.

Just guessing on that though not read it.

Oh God it's about to happen. What a worthless deal apart from clearing the books. Had we not bought Griezmann and fucked up the economy further we wouldn't have to make this shitty deal.

Just piling shit on shit for the coming seasons.

Could've at least done this deal with a player that lowers the age of the squad. We'll have 4 midfielders that are 30+, and Frenkie. What a joke.

Seems set in stone that it will happen.

Only interesting detail left is whether or not he ends the season (CL!) with us.

Those older midfielders needed to move regardless.

Adding a slow, wheezing Arthur to them was just as bad and issue was probably worse than would be with Pjanic next season.

This club is fucked.

Just buy back Neymar at this point and burn the entire club to the ground.

We should be trying to amass as much young talent as possible for life post Messi.

I’m seriously disgusted. Can’t wait to see Pjanic in 3 seasons at age 33. Woo hoo.
