Arthur - Pjanic swap?

Or Arthur being sold?

Nah. Arthur middle fingering the club.

I mean, he can just refuse to play? It'd actually be more dignified than play, try to play well, possibly help the club that you feel 'objectified' by, while also helping blur the bad image of seniors if your good performances will mask the obvious selection issues they cause? IMO write off the losses, middle finger everyone and start your life in Turin. He wouldn't help anything if he played good football for altruistic-purist reasons at this point and if they call him 'unprofessional' because he didn't respect the contract, all the more reason to see the board/management in bad light.

Basically how he probably sees it.

Unreasonable or not, it was to be expected.

If your employer, or a person that holds authority and power over you gives you an ultimatum to do something 'or else' there would be certain consequences, that's the definition of blackmailing.

Yes, spot on!
That's what every person with some sense of dignity should do

Both sides did not handle it well, including QS who belittled him. It is sad.

QS belittled him in his interviews (in general he lacks a sense of handling the media)
But i am not sure the decision not to play Arthur any minute after he signed for Juve is his...

No blackmailing is having information on someone and using that power to get them to behave in a certain way.

Your definition is wrong and does not apply to Arthur.

You are describing them giving him an ultimatum.

No it was not. You have a contract, you must fulfill it. Simple as.

He cannot simply "middle finger everyone" and "start his life in Turin." This stunt has already given Sarri and his future Juve teammates a terrible first impression. It will stick with him for the rest of his career. I'm sure he'd like to forget about it and move on, but it doesn't work that way.

Sure you can. And he just did by the looks of it.

Means nothing for his career in Turin in the long run if he's able to put Barca behind him. Same way Rabiot's exit wasn't rosy and he seems just fine now.

Whether it's right or wrong, it was predictable.

That's a case of blackmailing, but it can refer in general to any situation where a threat is used to coerce people into actions:

"Blackmail refers to a situation that arises when a person threatens another person with some form of punishment if they do not offer some form of concessions"
Source

You can say ultimatum as well, but there needs to be the emphasis on the threat used.

Blackmailing is holding information on someone and using it against them.

You have found a loose term of how that is applied.

Arthur was not blackmailed and either way good on club for getting rid.

It only won't matter if he can go to Juve and start immediately putting on world class performances week in week out. That would make people forget about everything else very quickly, but it also is not likely to happen.

Most players require some time to adapt to their new club. If Arthur finds himself on the bench struggling to break though into the first XI with continuing fitness/injury issues and average performances on the pitch it could turn ugly very quickly.

Fans and the press will point to this sort of behaviour as why they should have never bought him in the first place and that pressure could multiply, turn toxic and end his career in Turin early.

Being a top professional cannot make up for a lack of talent, but is certainly gives you more leniency and forgiveness from your coach and pretty much everyone else. How many times do you hear fans excuse a player's bad performance with "at least he worked hard," "he was the only one trying," "he is a model pro at the club" etc.

People only like world-class cunts on their team, not mediocre ones like Arthur.

Arthur is probably mad the club forced him to sign for Juve even though he didn't want to. Now he's taking revenge. But I don't understand the club's position either. They made it clear Arthur is not valued. Let the man go to vacation if he's not part of your plans.

No they 'valued' him at 70m and it is ridiculous to say let him go on vacation and just accept squad being one lighter.

All it is doing is exposing his shitty attitude and why Barca were willing to make him part of such a deal.

You dont think Barca should try to make other players leave?

Doent seem to be your stance on Rakitic etc.
