Folk had already forgotten about him really.

All he has done as backed up his attitude problems.

Meh. Fight fire with fire TBH. In such frequent absence of professionalism from top-down in the club it's not that surprising to see a guy like him going that way. Spoiled or not, he can still have a respectable career and none of us know where he'll be in 5 years. Could be West Ham, could be in rotation at City, who knows.

Would rather this than what Bale is doing to be fair.

Barca have weeded Arthur out. That is bigger bonus than anything lost from his lack of professionalism now.

He could have refused to leave.

Juventus upping their financial offer and the input of players such as Alves has played a part as well.

Folk like to play the poor Arthur card as if was just a guy with a dream driven to the brink of self harm by Barca.
That is true, but very risky. That is why he got upset, I think. I do not believe that Arthur did not do anything wrong. However, he was mistreated and his reaction, while not acceptable, it is expected. A report just came that says that Arthur was informed that he is not going to play in the CL. Again, not acceptable, but expected.

There were many reports in the press that Arthur refused to leave. It's very possible that the club used all means necessary to push him out, and this is what upset Arthur and made him bitter about it. Of course, he could still be professional about it...

Sure, which is why this makes both Barca and Arthur look bad. He doesn't come out of this looking pristine, far from it. It's just that I understand bitterness and anger.

He refused to leave until he didnt.

Barca pushed harder and Juve pulled harder and he agreed.

Thinks he is better than he is and Barca telling him no longer needed was too much to accept.

If anything his behaviour was the worse of the two in this relationship.

All top clubs will have players they tell are no longer in plans. Part and parcel of game.

Agree. Pretty disgusting of our club honestly. But best thing for Arthur is to just go. He has premium seats to watch the CL games.

Remains to be seen if you'd be better off keeping him tho. Defo better to bin him if it's not working ATM but people are often worth the effort if they prove they can improve at kicking a ball around the pitch.

BTW
Can we officially start the narrative of Barcelona ruining good talent careers like the media were all over Madrid back in the day? Or not yet?

Dani Alves said he didn't talk to Arthur about Juventus. I think I'll rather believe his word than the media's whom the club are using to report negative things about people and players they don't like.

Would be pretty funny and interesting if things blow up in the media from Barca and Arthur. Would be pretty fun to see our dirty laundry being washed in public like that.

Barca: Remember when you went to hookers and we covered for you?

Arthur: Remember when you told me I'd rot on the bench if I don't balance your books by going to Juve?

of course, if you think so. There is no right or wrong in this case, I do not believe that at least. I am more concerned about our problems and the way the board treated some of our players, Perez, for example. I am also not happy with our manager, publicly, belittling one of his players.

Would be best subject of the summer .

There could be more to come as Barca might be forced by the court to publish the entire PwC report about iVentures, the firm the club contracted that was talking shit about our own players and former players and coaches.

So far the club have refused to let socis insight into the full report.

Maybe Arthur being forced out will be the catalyst for him to become a better professional and Sarri style may suit him better.

Doesnt mean he would have stayed and become a top player at Barca.

All can do is make decision at this point and Arthur was not even lasting 90 minutes let alone playing well enough.

Juicy stuff. I want everything about the board to blow up in their face.
