Bayern München

Some "wild" details might have been made up, but I don't doubt that there was some sort of stuff going on in the Bayern dressing room, given what Neuer and Lahm (I believe) had recently said, efforts to shift the focus to something else. To me that is basically a sigh of acknowledging (at least not outright denying) that stuff happened.

Of course Bayern would have denied everything, even if everything reported by the media had actually happened.

BILD is basically comparable to The Sun. They love character assassination, Vidal is an easy target because he had a former enfant terrible image and people wouldn't be surprised if it was true. To make it even sweeter, Bayern is club that generates clicks. They usually don't react to the million wild stories written about them, only to those that go too far. We could say that there is a fire where there is smoke, the tensions in the dressing room might actually be a thing, but the rest about Vidal's supposed payslip, (of which noone seems to have a photo of), thsoe overweight stories or his partying habits are most likely just the casual media stuff (or at least 2 of the three are).

His partying habits might not be far off from the truth. It's the reason Juventus sold him for only 40m when they should've gotten more. Not to forget his DUI after a night out at the Casino in the Copa America.

On false allegations concerning Arturo Vidal

FC Bayern München has demanded that “SPORT BILD” and “Kicker” cease making false allegations concerning Arturo Vidal. Both magazines had claimed that Vidal's remuneration comprises about “€8 million net per annum.” Both “SPORT BILD” and “Kicker” have delivered a cease-and-desist letter, conceding that this allegation is false.

“SPORT BILD” had further claimed that during the training camp, Vidal “left the team base on several occasions and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol on his return.” Also in this case both FC Bayern München and Arturo Vidal requested “SPORT BILD” to cease making false allegations and received a cease-and-desist letter from “SPORT BILD.” “SPORT BILD” has thereby conceded that this allegation is equally false.

FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge commented: “The media are currently spreading many rumours and much speculation about FC Bayern. In the future FC Bayern will vigorously pursue legal action against false and malicious allegations to protect the club, its players and the coaching staff.”

as I thought, Bayern called them out on their bullshit. This stuff should happen more often to all those clickbait-newspapers

Man, that was a lucky night for Bayern. Juve could have repeteadly made 3-0 which basically meant they were through or they could have defended themselves better in the last 20 minutes. At 2-0 in the 70th minute thought Bayern will lose the qualification.
