Exactly. I'm not saying Bojan's age shouldn't be considered but just because he was a better prospect than Pedro was at his age doesn't mean much at this point when you consider how much opportunity Bojan was given - only Messi has had more chances as a teenager, and Bojan hasn't shown significant development as a player.

bojan never sorta deserves the number '9' currently as well as an extension on his contract. he desperately needs to get loaned out to get his mind straight.

Why does everyone assume that just because Pedro and Villa took longer to be established that Bojan will magically turn into one of them when he reaches 22? There isn't a magic formula. Villa has scored over 15 goals in every season he has been a first team player, he might not have been recognized as world class until he established himself at Zaragoza but he was consistently good since day 1.

Exactly. The talent is there but Bojan has not proven himself. Giving him '9' and scoring goals when games are already over doesn't magically transform you into a first team starter.

Maybe Bojan will get more minutes now, get the chance to regain the form he has shown in the past so he is ready if any of the starters get hurt. Rotate him in for some starts for each of the regular starters, there are too many 2 games a week coming up to start Messi Villa Pedro every game. Messi and Pedro are rather effective subs.
