Daniel Alves

One of the best on the pitch, definitely much better than Alba on the left. The main reason why Ribery had such a quiet game until the end, when we were 'pushing' for a goal (more like panicking).

I agree that defensively he was better than Alba and the others but that doesn't really say much because he hardly offered anything going forward.

Seems to me he had lots of great pieces of skill going forward (at least first half) but lots of idiotic decision making and poorly placed passes. Suspect in defense.

With Messi injured and slow roaming, Alves had absolutely no one to connect with. Actually he did, Pedro. And Pedro's one-two's were blowing Alves out of the water. Just remembered that. Cheers to Pedro but effectively up front there was no sense of goal scoring that materialized from their one-two's. Other than that, Alves didn't offer much. He hustled. Got out jumped on one of the goals, etc.

He got outjumped in 2 goals, Muller and Gomez goals. When Muller was scoring his second goal, Alves was no where near blocking Alaba. He is one of the main reasons why we are conceding so many goals.

Alves was on the sideline getting treatment for Mullers second and Bayerns fourth goal
