Erling Haaland

Gross. Roughly 30m from Bale + 16m from Marcelo + 14m from Isco, plus if Modric goes, it will free up another 16m, so altogether 76m, according to Spanish media.

Must feel good, hopefully we'll experience that soon as well  Umtiti, Lenglet, Pjanic, Coutinho, Griezmann, Dembele...just think about what these guys earn, crazy.

He'll end up in the PL (maybe United) for a few years and then move on to Madrid/Bayern in his prime. Raiola won't want him staying at 1 club with those juicy agent fees

If united manages to get him they will have a very strong team and could be able to play for the cl title. Maybe Sancho will convinces him. We should still try everything to get him.

BILD claiming Haaland was close to Bayern in 2019 with father saying Erling would be keen, but move didn't materialise because club couldn't offer minutes ahead of Lewandowski.

160M now looking a solid price if alternative is getting neither player

A salary cap has to become a thing. One can pay an astronomical salary if they want to, but will have to fill the rest of the spots with mostly average earning players.

And if you ever find clubs tricking this, harsh penalties. Won't hold my breath though with those UEFA crooks.

As I see we have no choice but to go all-in for him next summer. Unless Ansu stays healthy and develops into an elite player we can build the team around.

These youngsters need to prove something. Go to CL final and maybe even have a strong showing there if they don't win it before demanding these crazy sums.

Haaland is a great talent, but when it comes to CV, he's a nobody.

Yeah, but you either give him what he asks for (and others, too) or watch someone else do it. With some clubs having money stream from outside, it cannot be helped.

A goal per game in one of the best leagues in the world at the age of 20 is a pretty big deal to have on your CV lol. You let him join a club capable of winning the UCL he's not leaving for the next half decade at the very least. You buy someone like Haaland, you're basically securing your club about 40~ goals in all competitions for the next 5 seasons. That's a pretty big deal. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have a big trophy or whatever in his CV, it's the attributes he's already demonstrating that's the importance; attributes that are quite rare in elite football. You secure him and keep him for the next 10 years.
