To be fair even in the Bayern game it took two individual mistakes from Upamecano to get him involved otherwise it was kinda the same. Also missed that pen in Germany.

There is a big difference between Haaland and Messi or even Mbappe. Messi created chances for himself during his entire career. However, Haaland needs other to create for him while he is waiting in the box. IMHO take that cyborg physique from him and you have just an average player and nothing more. If I had to choose I would always choose Mbappe over Haaland for my team.

Sure Haaland is a pure striker, Mbappe can also be kept quiet when marked tightly against a player with pace. Give him space and he will destroy you though.

Difference with Messi is that Messi was better than the best goalscorer but also the greatest chance creator, dribbler and key passer to go with it.

Personally I Still think Mbappe is better.
Mbappe has a lot of baggage it would seem and is a bit of a diva, Haaland on the other hand seems to be a really good Team player.

I want to like Haaland more as a Player but I cant. I would prefer to pay $$$ to watch Mbappe.

Completely anonymous in both semi final games, the final, and the FA cup final. Meanwhile, Messi dragged his side by the bootlaces with goals against every team bar one in the World Cup.

Watching that and comparing it to how Messi played in CL finals in his prime. Completely different stratosphere of player honestly. Give him his 8th.
