Frenkie de Jong

ZenI

Professor Balthazar
In the end signed Garcia, Depay, Sergio Araujo, Christensen, Gundy, Kessie on free transfers.

Would be silly to exile Frenkie if he chooses to leave on one.

Try to make some money, try to renew, but if he doesn't then make use of him while he is here.

Come next season business end, if he doesn't hold a pivotal squad role, then by all means stop utilizing.

But this is a new trend in football where we will sign many more for free then what we will lose.
Nooo way, we better make a deal with the dude and grab some cash even if it's just 20ish million.

There isn't such universal standpoint on the issue.
Every club fights for their own interests.
NO, they won't 'understand' it

We have to protect our own interests, which is sucking it up with Frenkie and making the best sporting decision out of a bad situation, and not repeat big wages and on-going deferrals like with the amigos after all of the big wages are gone.

Seems haven't learned that well as seemingly still paying Gundy a bit.

Of course. It has precisely zero chance of happening and neither club or player think it would as benefits no one.

What planet are folk on to think with the FFP constraints..that will still be there that Barca forgo 20-30m of FFP space to 'teach a player a lesson'.

Impossible.

Proving points is for cheap players. Not one of the best paid players in the team. Rather see him leave for a small fee in the summer than in the stands for a season.

Of course and so would the club.

It is baffling that folk can even believe otherwise.

Laporta like all Barca Presidents are in it for immediate success.

To think he would give up 20-30m in FFP space to teach future players some kind of lesson is naive beyond belief.

They would do everythinhg they can for that immediate FFP space long before send him to stands.

That's not the dilemma. If he agrees to leave even for free in the summer, he is off

The dilemma is: either gets paid 30m in the books and plays in 25/26 season
OR he gets paid 30m in the books and sits in the stands 25/26 season

What would you opt for?

Yes and he would agree to leave for free without a doubt...

Hence why this scenario will never happen of being sent to stands as benefits no one whatsoever.

It is an empty threat again.

There may be times and scenarios where 'you will be sent to stands' is a threat the players side believes.. this however is not one of them.

You dont undersand likes of Laporta if you think he would value some 'future lesson' to players ahead of the instant FFP space.

He wants immediate impact not lessons for future players.. which it wouldnt be anyway.

There is no instant FFP space if De Fraud does not agree to the new contract OR to his sale.

No idea what you ae trying to say there.

The whole point is there is zero chance of club putting him in stands as he and club would both see him leave for free or lower fee than that ever happening.

Hollow inane threat that no one with any clue involved believes will happen.

Must be quite a shock to return to squad lists and realize you've been overtaken by a guy from B team you never heard of.

And you also know Bernal will be fit by next season. And probably some other hungry kid ready to fight.

Also know you can't come close to Pedri role either. Not by talent not by intensity. Zero.

But I am also sure, as Jamdav seems concerned, that Frankie will be fine (with his salary, who wouldn't) either way.

Yeah he will be fine. Stays or goes.

Casado is not as good as you lads make out but been decent. Been bullied a lot recently and quite a few bad losses of possession.

Also passes the ball backwards a lot more than likes of FDJ.. but that does fit the wee narrative.

What I will do is point out all the errors from Casado that others do for FDJ. In the interests of fairness.

Fairly simple:
He won't agree to a reduced contract
He won't agree to a sale next summer 2025.

Then, the club will have to decide which way to go.
Send a clear message to everyone inside and outside the club OR bend over the whims or players/agents once again?

I know Fatporta fucked up with the contracts he gave and is still giving.
Tell that to his apologists here

He will agree to leave this summer.. there is zero chance he sits in stands. Precisely zero.
