We need players who have that instinct to deliver in set pieces like mandzukic Dzeko... Pique and busi can't even score open headers for christ's sake. We need players who can score them not player who can deliver them. It will good but without a player to score it is a waste.

Sevilla have much more tall players and players who are good at heading the ball. If he registers more than 3 assists from set pieces next season , Ill be surprised. That is, if he is allowed to take them at all. I'll bet he'll be in the box as one of our few 6 foot players.

Not necessarily. Some players can only play well when they are the main player of the team. See neymar for example. We are lucky that he is young. He will learn and adapt to barca style (hopefully). But we can't wait on Rakitic forever. I just hope it is true. But his position in the team is hard to understand. Only xavi place is free. Hard to imagine him there.

Rakitic passing stats will significantly improve at Barca. Every player has his passing stats improve after coming to this team, the benefit of playing in such a ball dominant and technical side.

Fabregas has better through balls stats, and that's expected playing for Barca, Rakitic will improve on that stat next year without a doubt by merely playing in this team. Inversely, Rakitic was much better at delivering key passes, which is to be expected playing for a more direct side in Sevilla, that stat could likely go down playing at Barca.

Rakitic was also much better at crossing and delivering long balls. Those stats will even out at Barca.

You really can't look at stats when comparing two players in 2 different teams and different systems. What you can do is watch the player, watch his skills and talents, and project how you think those will translate to the other team. Rakitic has skills and talents that could be very good contributions to Barca. That's all we can really say at this point until we actually watch him play at this team.
