Arsenal got trashed by City both times in the league last year, but them winning a community shield on pens against them proves they are better than us? When we beat Madrid like 5 times in a year and beat them to a LaLiga?

Where is the logic, it's so inconsistent.

You have a point that they haven't proven it all the way yet (still, finishing 2nd in EPL behind City is not worthy of ridicule, not even close). Obviously titles won is not a strong argument in favor of Arsenal, like it is for Madrid, or City.

But Arsenal are a team coming from behind with an ambitious manager and hungry for success. And they have loads of money to improve their team, which we don't. This makes them better in the end, basically 600m spent on players in the last 3 seasons. And counting. The money they've spent have been well noted on the field too.

Where would Barca be with some 200-250m to spend this summer, instead of chasing old players or cheap ones? Probably better than Arsenal.

A lot of that money went on players who aren't that good.

Likes of Havertz, Tomiyasu, Vieira, Tavares, Kiwior, Ramsdale, even White, none of these guys make our team most likely whilst it cost them hundreds of millions. Most of their budgets have been spent on players who aren't top level.

They do have more DEPTH but not a better starting team.

White is class. Btw, that is how it goes, not all signings pan out. Of course they also have some weaknesses.

They will continue to spend and spend and pump hundreds of millions until they get it right on all positions. That is the difference.

Havertz is top class player.
