90 minutes are to be deflated. What were the players expecting: to not have one of the toughest matches

What I mean is what do you all suppose is the big difference in reactions? I mean, surely it can't be just the one goal Madrid were able to score? From the Barca side am I accurate in reading the players realize the superiority of their opponent to them and thus their hopelessness? Do they see themselves outgunned where as Madrid realize they are good enough to fight their opponents back?
Further, what pissed me off was not the loss, I expected something like a 2-0 but was hoping to sneak a 2-1 score. Anyway, what strikes me was how the team bent over at a certain point and allowed two extra goals.
