While many top players love Koeman and his honesty.

Tends to be the shite ones that fall out with him and their egos cant take it.

Vast majority of top coaches from Pep to Alex Fergusons have players that claim they were treated like shit.

Terrible claim to make out Laporta is doing anything remotely similar or anyone involved would think like that though.

'Worst season since Rijkaard' is such a biased and distorting label, considering that the underlying numbers showed huge improvement and all the other factors that have been discussed here tons of times and I am not going to go over again.
Apparently only the position at the table matters for those who label thus, and it is also important whether you finish 2nd or 3rd (LOL)

But, what is more ridiculous is to think that the 20-21 season was worse than the 19-20

Actually, the 19-20 vs 20-21 is a good test if someone understands anything about football.
Whoever thinks that the dreadful team which Valverde lead for 3 years, and which resulted in corpse team of 19-20 was a better team than the 20-21
surely does not get much about football

Koeman is not Pep or Fergie or Lucho, he's Koeman and has a history of being underwhelming at clubs much worse than Barca. He's a hard man without the goods to back it up. He's only here because we can't get a top coach & there's no money

19-20 they at least won their CL group and got through to the QF.
They only got 82p in the league which was the worst season since Rijkaard, and it got two coaches sacked. Koemans team took even less points, and now he hangs on by the thread of having "played youngsters" and having won copa del rey in a very lucky way.

The point is virtually all coaches piss off players not that 'Koeman is Pep'.

Doesnt make them 'cunts' or Koeman having any great history of it either.

Some of top players in world have praised them for his development from Lukaku, VVD and Mane to Depay, FDJ etc.

Should be more of a 'cunt' at Barca if thats what it takes.

Finish high enough to qualify for CL next season.
Move on players with unaffordable salaries.
Bring younger players into the team.
Level of respectability in cup competitions.
A successful season for Koeman if he achieves the above, even if Barca win nothing.

All coaches have to be allowed to make the decisions they want. That's how you separate the wheat from the chaff.

Laporta has the ultimate power to send him packing if he doesn't deliver this season.

Yes, as I've always maintained, that Koeman is stubborn and that his terrible decisions are his decisions is a positive compared to his predecessor. But he still makes terrible decisions and underperforms greatly.

Its important for Koeman to send out a message to the dressing room that the manager is the one in charge of making team selections. If a player is unhappy and complains to the board about playing time, tough luck because Koeman doesn't give a crap about who the board would like to see getting minutes.

Very strong message by Koeman. Amazing manager for this transition period.
