    World Cup 2022

I would imagine the very weak midfield will pose a problem against teams good enough to get up the park and get in battles with them. Costa Rica aren't good enough at all to even get near competing in the midfield spaces and fighting for control but for those ones who can the lightweight...

    World Cup 2022

It is actually impressive how well thought out these lines are. There will always be a way to somehow credit Xavi for anything going on or cut him slack.

    Frenkie de Jong

A tackle dummy would be a better defender than Busquets as it knows how to hold its position.

Messi and Ronaldo are both finished. Every dog has their day.

    World Cup 2022

Argentina are not going to win many games getting overrun like this by Saudi Arabia. Other teams like England or Germany have just as physical players but much more technical skill too. Impossible to see Argentina winning this cup.

    World Cup 2022

Argentina play with such low intensity. They play at a testimonial match pace. Whilst Saudis have limited ability but physically in tip top shape and running and fighting for every ball. Argentina never going to break them down playing so slow like they're doing.

W for Malvolio and JamDav on Stegen tbf. Didn't think he had it in him to be one of the best GKs in the world again after last season. But I guess this all shows us how form based GK as a position is.

    Frenkie de Jong

Frenkie showed his character by grinding his heels in and putting out top performances.

    World Cup 2022

Wouldn't exactly be fair to strip us British public of the ability to watch the World Cup.

    World Cup 2022

Offside is objective, slight contacts/regular fouls aren't. You are either offside or you aren't and it is clear that he was if drawing the reference image from that header. That offside is just as much offside as any other, it doesn't change just because the goalie was mispositioned. If...

    World Cup 2022

People eager to point at corruption immediately as soon as decision is given despite not even understanding the offside rule. You must be behind the second-last player to be onside, he is ahead of the goalkeeper and only behind one defender therefore he is offside. Not a very controversial...

    World Cup 2022

That is offside. You have to be behind 2 people to be onside, he is ahead of the keeper.

    3 - Alejandro Balde

I think the players we have have plenty more experience than they do at higher levels. Most of our players are established internationals and have won important titles, even our bench players like Kessie and Christensen have won Serie A and CL etc. Also are much better ability wise too.

Tbqh would back Frankfurt to beat Barca again quite confidently. Barca features the far better players than either side but having the worse manager equals it out.

    World Cup 2022

It's true. It's not fair that Russian athletes are banned and stripped of earnings and progression in their careers because their government did something bad. They need to put food on their table and many of them will be struggling because of those restrictions, through no fault of their own...

Yes, the 'West' being journalists and football fans who were definitely involved in everything Europe did over the 'last thousands of years'. What a great own against those colonialist, imperialist, scumbag journalists! I bet the guy who asked him that question invaded Iraq himself, right...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Even if the rules can be applied in this way, it seems very harsh given there is hardly any precedent for them being used like that & players and managers comment about referees all the time without being banned. He was stupid both in receiving the red card and the gesture but this is a extreme...

Choupo Moting is hitting the form of his life and looks like the team and Nagelsmann really like him and fit with him. Would it be worth it for them to bring in declining Ronaldo on huge wages who could explode their dressing room if they run into trouble? Will be surprising if they make that...

    Frenkie de Jong

Indeed in most of the best performances under Xavi FDJ was starting and had a starring role... Vs Napoli 4-2 Vs Madrid 4-0 Vs Bilbao & Villarreal this season 4-0 + 3-0 Whilst most of the worst happened whilst he was on the bench, incidentally, and both Europa and CL knockouts Xavi put him on...
