    Gerard Deulofeu

It's not just today though, it's happen quite a lot this season even in the early part. At the moment he looks best coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes when the defender's legs are tiring. Regarding the loss of pace, I don't think this is the case as Clyne and Shaw are very quick but...

    Gerard Deulofeu

This blind defence of him is surreal. Yes we were poor today but he saw enough of the ball, on about 5 occasions he isolated the defender and had lots of space to use his ability but ended up getting the ball taken off him. He switched sides and carried on getting the ball taken off him. Him...

    Gerard Deulofeu

I don't understand how people are just focusing on minutes played. If you just wanted him to get 90 minutes of exercise every week he could have continued playing in the Barca B team. People are going on about sending him to Celta or Sevilla and with his reputation i'm sure there were plenty...

    Gerard Deulofeu

I think the fact that we will be playing in Europe next season (be it the Champions League or the Europa) will almost guarantee that he will get a lot more playing time as the games come thick and fast. I think he has done ok this season, not as well as I expected but then it took some of the...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Not had a great first half, some flashes of quality but lots of overdoing things and he can be so frustrating. I would like to see him given a go down the left 2nd half.

    Gerard Deulofeu

I agree with this. The pace of the Premier League is so fast, players don't get much time on the ball to make a decision before a challenge comes flying in and there is more competition within the league. Also living in a foreign country learning a new language will force him to grow up a bit...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Agree was superb tonight. He was involved in all 3 goals and done the dirty work too, tracking back to help Coleman. Run into one or two blind alley's and made the odd wrong decision which can be forgiven due to his age and inexperience. When he gets it right though it is superb and I think...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Another assist for Deulofeu. Nice ball across the box for Lukaku to poke home.

    Gerard Deulofeu

True, especially considering the amount of passes you make each game and your style of play. He has done ok this half, a nice little flick on for Barkley to score but he has overdone it on a few occasions. As well as learning to pass the ball more, he also needs to learn when to pass the ball...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Starting tonight against Newcastle. The last few games, whether starting or coming on as a substitute have seen him take 10-15 minutes to get into the game. Hopefully tonight he will start strongly and go on from there. I feel his loan spell was just starting to become a success and he was...

    Ross Barkley

Rooney still doesn't like Moyes, however as a Man U employee he isn't going to come out and criticise his new manager. Put it this way, there is more chance you will see Rooney back in a Everton shirt before you see Barkley in a Man U shirt.

    Ross Barkley

That's a big part of why he wont play under Moyes again, yes he may have appreciated Moyes sticking by him after his double leg break but he also feels Moyes never gave him a proper chance and held him back. According to a couple of respected Everton ITK's, Barkley isn't the only youngster who...

    Ross Barkley

See my post earlier in the thread about Moyes and Barkley, Moyes did not trust Barkley hence he wouldn't play him, when he sent him out on loan he even told Neil Warnock not to "not give him any responsibility" (direct quote from Warnock himself), that's not exactly a vote of confidence. If...

    Gerard Deulofeu

Injury isn't as bad as first feared. He will only be out for "a few weeks". Should be back just after xmas.

    Ross Barkley

Pretty much spot on, he will never join Moyes at Man U. The only chance Utd have of signing him is getting rid of Moyes.

    Ross Barkley

He will be offered a new contract soon and will sign, which will take him through to about 2018/19 I would think. This doesn't guarantee his stay at Everton but it will ensure we get a substantial fee should he move.

    Ross Barkley

Yes I do, as I say for the next 3-4 years and he is only 20 so there's no rush. After that if we still cant compete in the major competitions then he will move on I would imagine. When Rooney left at 18 we were in a totally different situation and he was surrounded by very poor players, he knew...

    Ross Barkley

I cant see him leaving us for another 3-4 years. He is flourishing under Martinez, who has put his full trust in him, we are playing excellent football and want to be challenging for the CL. Everyone including Ross can see the progress being made by the club this season and he's a integral...

    Ross Barkley

I fully agree, being compared to Gazza, Zidane, Ballack etc is a bit much for a young kid just basically starting out. He does make a few bad decisions, similar to Deulofeu but you can see the potential he has and he will only learn from his mistakes. This is his first real run of games in the...

    Ross Barkley

He's a special talent Ross. Considering Arsenal had a midfield of Arteta, Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshire and Ozil, Barkley was the best player on the pitch and ran the midfield in that game. If he keeps his feet on the ground (unlike many young English players) and keeps learning he will be World Class.
