Makes sense since Alen still needs constant playing time and Rafinha will be back long with Roberto already solidifying his place in the team. If Suarez/Rafinha or Halilovic come good then Rakitic will probably be on his way out.

Deu is also slowly showing some ability to cut in with his left and become a scoring threat like that too.

Neymar can create pretty well himself and iniesta is always present in big games so Messi will score as per usual.

Funny that even though we drew tough opponents last year we breezed past them, I wouldn't mind a tough team in the first round or quarters so that we can be kept on our toes.

We go through this every couple months, iniesta is in chill mode so he doesnt go running through 5 players everygame and people are like "HES DONE", then a big game rolls around and he steps up as per usual and everyone starts praising him again. This has been going on since Tata.

I think the lax at the end is troubling somehwat, but also don't forget that we were playing with Batra/Verm where both the penalty and goal could fall on verm for a) being too flatfooted and b) not contesting the header. The penalty probably could have happened to any of our cbs but that header...

Season long stats do not reflect recent improvements well. We WERE defensively poor, but we've been getting better as more recent one-game stats will show.

He deserves it imo.

Defense seems pretty solid to me.
